1. The HTE may terminate the student intern on the following circumstances:
serious misconduct, absenteeism, wilful disobedience of lawful orders,
neglect of duties, insubordinations, revealing establishment’s secrets, and/or
violating the company’s rules and regulations. The student intern shall not
receive any refund on the payment made for the industry charge/training fee
(if there is any), tuition fee, internship fee and other payments which are non-
refundable. No certification and evaluation shall be given to the student
intern.

i. Issue a final grade to the student intern upon completion of requirements within
the prescribed period in accordance with DWCC’s regulation on grading system
and performance assessment of the HTE.
3. Reporting
Submit to CHED through the CHED Regional Office (CHEDRO) the following
documents:
a. Annual report per school year on implementation of SIPP on the number of
student interns per program, their issues and concerns and actions to be taken to
address the issues among others to be signed by school head or authorized
representative such as deans of concerned program and/or registrar;
b. Copy of duly notarized MOA; and
c. List of partner HTEs and student interns duly certified by authorized school
official to have completed internship.
2. SIPP COORDINATOR
a. Coordinate with the adviser/internship coordinators, department deans, and
administrators of the effective implementation of internship programs
b. Inspect internship sites before internship period
c. Provide pre-internship orientation prior to deployment to internship venues
including among others work ethics and anti-sexual harassment as pre-
requirement
d. Monitor and assess student interns if need arises
e. Consult and assist student interns in resolving problems/issues encountered
f. Validate the result of the internship of students per batch feedback/post –
conference based on the submitted accomplishment report, at the end of the
internship period
g. Prepare and submit pertinent reports in the implementation of Student Internship
Program in the Philippines (SIPP) required by the Commission on Higher
Education (CHED)

c. DWCC Student Intern
a. Exhibit the Divinian image
b. Enter into an internship contract and/or agreement with the participating HTE;
c. Sign all the required documents necessary for his or her participation in the
internship program, including the acceptance letter, internship contract and/or
agreement;
d. Comply with the provisions of the contract and/or agreement including the rules
and regulations of DWCC, HTE and CHED at all times;
e. Undergo the required orientation/internship program conducted by DWCC and
HTE (e.g. English Proficiency, Personality Development, Work Ethics, Anti-
Sexual Harassment, etc.);
f. Report for internship in the HTE based on the schedule indicated in the
internship contract and/or agreement;
g. Perform tasks and activities indicated in the internship plan;
h. Maintain confidentiality, when and where appropriate, during and after the
internship period, of all the data, business or trade secrets where such
information is not within the public domain and is indicated or understood to be
confidential;
i. Adhere to the existing rules and regulations of the HTE including the proper use
of tools, instruments, machines, and equipment;
j. Adhere to the policies, rules and regulations stated in the DWCC Student
Handbook;
k. Proper decorum is expected at all times;
1. He/She should not engage in any form of intimate relationship with clients,
staff and on-site intern supervisor
2. He/She is not allowed to invite/entertain personal visitors in the internship
site
3. He/She should avoid incessant talking and loitering in the internship site
4. Unauthorized use of cellular phones and other electronic devices when on-
duty
5. Observe house rules and regulations for student interns who will be staying
in a boarding house/dormitory
6. Submit a journal of internship as required by the HTE reflecting on the
approved internship plan, his or her experiences describing his/her
internship activities, any problem/s encountered, and his and her reflections
on the internship experience to the SIPP coordinator;
7. Complete agreed duration of his or her internship; In case the student intern
will be unable to finish his or her internship within the designated period, he
or she shall inform the Internship adviser/coordinator and the SIPP
Coordinator in writing of his or her intent and reasons to prematurely end
his internship, at least three (3) working days before his or her last day of
internship. Failure to complete the internship program without valid cause
disqualifies the student intern from retaking the program with the concerned
HTE; and
8. Report to the Internship adviser/coordinator for an exit assessment after the
completion of the internship period.

c. Assigns a point/focal person responsible for the implementation of all phases of
the internship;
d. Orients the student intern on the standard rules and regulations of their
establishment before signing of contract;
e. Enters into an internship contract/agreement with the student intern;
f. Facilitates the processing of the documents of the student intern in coordination
with DWCC;
g. Provides to the practical training or work experience in accordance with agreed
internship plan and schedule of activities;
h. May provide necessary incentives to the student interns as contained in the
MOA, such as free duty meals, travel allowance and uniform, if applicable;
i. Ensures that student interns do not perform tasks and duties of regular position
in HTEs;
j. Provides supervised applied learning experience for student interns in
accordance with agreed Internship Plan and schedule of activities;
k. Develops feedback mechanism to the student intern;
l. Develops feedback mechanism to DWCC of the overall implementation of the
internship and the student performance;
m. Provides monitoring and evaluation reports or other information on the student
intern’s performance as may be required by DWCC;
n. Make available, accurate and current records and provide access to DWCC of
such records while on internship;
o. Notifies and provides at least thirty (30) working days written notice to DWCC of
a student intern’s breach of contract or misconduct in the internship premises
prior to HTE’s decision to suspend or terminate the contract; and
p. Issues certificates of completion for the student interns not later than two (2)
weeks after the completion of internship.
e. Parent/Guardian
a. Attends the DWCC Student Internship Program Orientation and other instance/s
where their presence is required;
b. Encourages the student intern to carry out his/her responsibilities effectively;
c. Shares responsibilities for the conduct of the student intern while in the program;
d. Ensures the safety of the student intern while travelling to and from school and
internship site;
e. Issues and signs the written consent; and
f. Co-signs the internship contract and/or agreement to manifest approval or
consent to the internship of their child.

b. The STUDENT INTERN is allowed to work up to eight (8) hours a day. In
excess of this time allotment shall be considered overtime and must be
counted in the number of hours of duty.
c. Overtime shall only be limited to two (2) hours a day only and a maximum of
ten (10) hours of work in a day shall be observed.

These are absences without valid reason (e.g., due to hang-over, laziness, lack of
sleep or rest after a night party/gimik, etc.)
Student intern who shall be found responsible for any violation will be automatically
pulled out from the HTE.
9. ESTABLISHMENT INTEREST
The student intern shall act in the interest of the HTE at all times and shall observe, adhere
to and comply with HTE’s policies, rules and regulations and customs and shall safeguard
HTE's property and confidential information.

All claims and complains shall be settled in accordance with the terms and conditions of
this contract as well as the applicable policies, rules and regulations of the HTE and
DWCC.
