For the scientific researchers of material physics, one of the indispensable
processes in the phase analysis is to compare the XRD measured in the experiment
with the standard XRD pattern. Finally, they are drawn together through the
drawing software. Then the experimental data can be measured by the
experimental instrument.
Methods/steps
Step-1
First of all, there are many methods to obtain the XRD standard spectrum. Here,
we will only introduce one of them, which is exported by jade software. Specific
methods can be divided into the following steps: first, open the jade software,
import the experiment measured by XRD data, then by phase analysis method to
find we want rather than than standard of XRD spectra (XRD phase analysis
method in our previous experience, we know the specific process, refer to
experience sharing before), as shown in figure (1) the results are obtained.
Step-2
Second, after finding the standard XRD standard spectrum, we need to export the
data. The specific process is to click a disk-like icon as shown in figure (2), and
then pop up a lot of specific information of the standard spectrum as shown in
figure (3). In addition to the standard spectrum, we can also get some specific
structural information of the material from the figure, such as lattice parameters
and so on.
Step-3
Finally, we need to export standard XRD spectrum, concrete process is: click on
the save button as shown in figure (4), and then select a folder to save the exported
standard XRD spectrum, so that we get the standard XRD spectrum, and then
according to the needs of specific draw them on a graph, it can do detailed

Methods/steps:
Step-1
First, open the XRD data to be analyzed, click "Read" in the drop-down menu of
File in the upper left corner, find the location of our data storage in the pop-up
dialog box, and open it.
Step-2
If we have a lot of data clutter, we should first smooth the graph. In the menu bar
above, there is a key "smooth", and click it to smooth the graph. However, we
should be careful not to smooth too many times, which will lead to the distortion of
the graph.

Step-3
Then, to the left of the smoothness, there is a key that says "Find Peaks", or Peaks,
and then each peak is marked.
Step-4
Then click "Find Peaks" in the Analysis drop-down menu in the menu above, and
click "Report" in the pop-up dialog box. In the new dialog box that pops up, you
can see the corresponding Angle, intensity, half height, width, peak area and other
data.
Note: Do not smooth the map too many times, easy to lead to map distortion.

After calibration and analysis, we often need to use the curve, but jade5 software
itself can not export the ideal XRD curve, so we need to draw the curve according
to the existing data.
