TITLE: MULTI-MODAL HUB.

INTRODUCTION:
Transportation is one of the most important requirement for aid of
communication from one place to another.In 21st century multi modal hub has
become the back bone of transportation system of metropolis.
The multi-modal hub acts as a static point in circulation system,it will
serve as a place for connecting the metro station and also encourages the private
transportation modes like auto rickshaws and bikes. In urban areas modal hub
takes a majority contribution in economic growths, and chains the living, working,
commercial and entertainment sectors together into one.

RATIONALE OF THE TOPIC:

The reason behind the selection of this topic is that it is a challenging
task to make a multi modal hub which attracts the view of the users,and serves a
multi functioned space with a small site of over 3.5 acres.

AIM:
To create a multi modal hub which forms the signature of the city with
commercial and recreational spaces.

OBJECTIVE:
 To propose a high class multi modal hub with commercial and recreational
space which concentrates highily in public gathering
 To redevelop the Broadway bus terminus.
 Proposing a symbolic structure in the form of Terminus building and making
it a trademark of the place in near future.
 To provide a better place with all the transportation facility under a single
roof.
 The hub which enhances the aesthetical values of the adjacent areas.
SCOPE:
 Merging the three transportation could use a less amount of space
by this three in different sites.
 People can come to a single station to start their journey of their
choice.
 Merging these spaces also be economical and cause huge profit to
governments.
 There are business scope with in the hub itself.
 The local people earns money from this hub as we provide some
commercial,recreational and retail facilities
LIMITATIONS:
There is limited number of case studies in India.
