(2) The teacher values the role of learners in promoting each other’s learning and recognizes
Rationale Statement:
encourage student relationships for the best outcome of learning. This activity allows the initial
barrier of communication to be broken down so students can become more comfortable with
each other. They are able to receive some insight on the people they will be in the classroom
with throughout the year. By making the room a more friendly place among peers, it will result
in a positive classroom climate environment. Activities like this also stimulate collaborative
learning.
