Write a paragraph about your personal experiences on how technology has influenced
your life as a learner from elementary, high school and college.

How Technology Influenced My Life as a Learner

Technology really mean to me as student/learner. Technology influenced me on my
elementary days by using Traditional Technology which is the Black Board. It helps me to gain
more knowledge and ideas by leading on my teacher who wrote all the lessons, ideas and text on
blackboard way back in my elementary days. Using the Traditional Technology it easy for us to
come up or increase our way of thinking when it comes to taking our lessons. We can just see the
lesson on the blackboard but we can also improve our way of thinking.
In my High School life, we also used the Traditional Technology but when I became a
Senior High School Student (Grade 11 and Grade 12) we used the Modern Technology. Using
Flat Screen TV, Projectors and Laptop. In that level, it easy for me to understand very well the
lesson because it gives more concentration. By using PPT (Power Point Presentation) it will give
an attraction to student by using any designs so it can give entertainment to all students.
And now, I am College Student we are using Traditional and Modern Technology. As of
now we always gain more knowledge and ideas by using that technology. Now technology has a
big role in our society especially to students who are studying, it's helping student to improve
their way of thinking. We always give our best in our study by the help of technology. By using
technologies we are gaining more confident because technology is part of 21st Century, so it is
really modern. Technology is now really important to every people especially to student who are
studying.

Task 2: Expectations as a Future Teacher

 Write a paragraph on how you are going to use technology when you will become a
teacher.

How will I use Technology When I Became a Teacher?

When I will become a Teacher on future, I will use technology as tools for teaching. I am
going to use technology to share my knowledge to my future students. Technology is my weapon
to teach; I will use that in terms of teaching, giving a lesson and share my knowledge. It is
important to acknowledge that students are already interested and engaged in using technology,
this creates many amazing opportunities for schools and teachers to benefit from integrating
some forms of technology in the classroom and to make teaching and learning more effective so
that I will use the technology on my teaching. Technology in education is a powerful thing for
learning that is sweeping through schools all over the world. After all, now students have grown
up with digital technology and expect it to be part of their learning experience. There are some
benefits of using technology in classroom like; Improves engagement, when technology is
integrated into lessons, students are expected to be more interested in the subjects they are
studying. Technology provides different opportunities to make learning more fun and enjoyable
in terms of teaching same things in new ways. Encourages individual learning, no one learns in
the same way because of different learning styles and different abilities. Technology provides
great opportunities for making learning more effective for everyone with different needs.

Task 1: Reflection
1. What have I learned?
Technology can cause both positive and negative feelings and effects on children's behavior
and their learning. Focusing on the positive you will find that technology is a very important
factor in the growth of humankind in every way possible. From the very start, technology made
life easier for people. Children's inappropriate use of such technological devices in terms of
content, duration, frequency, and the posture they adopt while using them pose a variety of
health risks, including developmental problems, musculoskeletal problems, physical inactivity,
obesity, and inadequate sleep quality. However, putting this technology in the hands of a teacher
is associated with more positive results.
2. What I want to know more?
I want to know more about technology, the depth positive and negative of using technology.
Rules, all the factors of technology and also the importance of technology on every people in
their everyday life. And on how technology can effect the people's health when they're using
technology. We all know anxiety and depression can affect our physical and mental health.
"Technology can certainly contribute to or exacerbate existing feelings, but it's more important to
teach healthy, balanced tech habits and maintain good communication with your children,
instead of banning all technology use. We can benefit from technology when we use it wisely.
3. What will I do with what I learned?
I am going to apply all my learning’s on how we use technology and to share with other
people to influence them and to be aware. We should all know the importance, negative and
positive effect of technology in our daily life. I will control myself; I will manage my time in
terms of using gadgets and technologies. We are given technology and we allow it to distract us.
We need to learn how to use it and teach others how to use it as well. We control technology,
technology should not control us.
