Nota
A check mark displays on the context menu in front of the Add Leader option indicating
that add leader mode is turned on.
• If add leader mode is turned on and a user right-clicks on a different anchored text or anchored
inset image markup and attempts to select Add Leader, the user is prompted whether to
continue in add leader mode for the current markup or to begin a new add leader mode for
the selected markup.
• To exit add leader mode, right-click and again select Add Leader from the context menu.
Nota
The check mark is removed from in front of the Add Leader option.
• Add leader mode is automatically disabled when the user selects a new tool or another function
on the 3D Markup tool.
Delimit strings. Special characters inside the quotation marks are treated
as special characters.

as literal characters.

The pattern 'John*' matches John* but not John or John Doe.
Nota
You can type logical operators as text or symbols. If you
type them as text, make sure you use capital letters. Logical
operators include AND & OR | NOT !.

When using Path Planning through the immersive menu, if detached target parts are in contact with
any background part, the User-Aided Fitting algorithm pushes the parts away from the background
part and moves them to a collision-free location. This helps users to efficiently work on path planning
tasks by proving close to "real time" dynamic collision detection.
Both the Clearance report and ClearanceDB report options can now be quickly accessed from the
context menu. The following changes apply:
• Access the Clearance report by selecting Results Report from the context menu.
• Access the ClearanceDB report by selecting ClearanceDB Reports from the context menu.
• The Apply these camera options when navigating to an issue was renamed to Apply these
camera settings when navigating to an issue.
• Importing vendor tools with 3D geometry is now easier beginning in Teamcenter 12.2. The
STEP file format has been enhanced to remove the master cutter provided by the vendor, which
is not likely to be what you need.
• In a bill of process (BOP) or isolated study structure, you can now synchronize to a study or
publish selected process stations or operations from a study. Previously, you could update
structures as a collective whole only.
• To save time and reduce possible errors, you can now propagate multiple alternative structures
contained in a collaboration context (CC) to a bill of equipment (BOE) and BOP in a production
environment.
• To extend collaboration context integration between original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and
supplier environments, OEMs can now communicate between a Teamcenter Manufacturing
server and Process Simulate, and suppliers can communicate between a Tecnomatix eMServer
and Process Simulate.
PMI enhancements
• When parts and objects are configured to be hidden or shown from the Graphics view using
occurrence effectivity settings, assembly-level Product Manufacturing Information (PMI) callouts
attached to those parts and objects are also hidden or shown.
• Setting the new preference Mci0ExtractPatternPMI to true allows you to extract a Geometric
Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) composite callout for multiple features associated to the
same callout, as defined by a pattern of patterns (for example, 4X for a pattern of hole features).
This preference also applies to composite linear dimensions.
Microservice Framework support for Access Controls and Requirements Management . . . . . . . 3-1
• Support for the S1000D 4.2 standard. Sample S1000D 4.2 administration data is available for
the administrators to import.
Dashboard enhancements
The simulation dashboard provides a clear view of the status of all the models and analyses carried
out by simulation analysts at the program, milestone, group, or individual user level. The dashboard
has been enhanced to:
• Monitor key performance indicator (KPI) values such as maximum stress, minimum temperature,
and maximum displacement from an analysis revision or an analysis template.
Search enhancements
You can perform an advanced search to locate the data required for the simulation analysis using
the following new queries:
• CAE – Find Single-Level Related Model or CAE – Find Single-Level Related Analysis can be
used to find all associated models or analyses of a specific product item revision. In the CAD
Item Revision ID query field, you can type a question mark (?) to query for all the CAE models or
analyses generated on the latest revision rather than all revisions.
• CAE – Find Multi-Level Related Models or CAE – Find Multi-Level Related Analysis can
be used to find all associated models or analyses for the selected CAD at the component,
subassembly, and variant levels. You can use this query to identify all models or analyses
impacted by the design change of a product item revision.
These technologies allow you to implement a highly available architecture for the Teamcenter
database with clustering and failover, either on-premises or in a cloud environment. These features
are available in active or passive architectures.
AlwaysOn features are available for Teamcenter deployments with Microsoft SQL Server databases.
Teamcenter automatically detects and makes use of SQL Server AlwaysOn if it is use by the
database. No setup or configuration in Teamcenter is required.

The following table provides examples of the type of usage data that is collected by Siemens PLM
Software and, as equally important, clarifies what data is not collected by Siemens PLM Software.
Participation in the program is enabled by default in the Product Excellence Program panel in both
Teamcenter Environment Manager (TEM) and Deployment Center. A Teamcenter administrator can
opt out of the program during installation by clearing the Product Excellence Program Enable option
in the installation tool. An administrator can also opt out of the program after installation by modifying
the TC_ProductExcellenceProgram site preference in Teamcenter.
Although custom notes contain data unique to a part or a document, you can reuse or clone an
existing custom note and attach it to another part or document or its revision.
You can now configure a single Notes section instead of separate standard notes and custom notes
sections in Active Workspace.
