To obtain an offer in the Transition to Practice Nurse Residency Program where I am able learn in a specialized
unit while utilizing critical thinking, prioritization, and communication skills to efficiently provide holistic,
individualized, quality care to patients and their families.

Work Experience
Para Professional: Victory Collegiate Academy June 2017 – December 2018
Managed and taught classes of 25+ students, 4th through 6th grade. Worked alongside teachers of
kindergarten through 6th grade for support. Supervised students during recess, lunches, and other
breaks. Worked one-on-one with students to improve their understanding of science, math, and
reading.

Nurse’s Assistant: North Valley Nursing Center April 2017 – June 2017
Provided high-quality patient care while working as an assistant to a Registered Nurse within a sub-
acute nursing facility. Preserved patient dignity and minimized discomfort while carrying out
activities of daily living. Repositioned and performed range of motion activities to prevent
immobility, bedsores and to promote healing. Documented given care with accuracy, carried out
effective team collaboration and maintained healthy patient relationships with a delivery of
consistent empathetic care provided to each patient.

Greeted, checked-in and checked-out customers. Worked as a cashier, cook, and server. Provided

Volunteer Work

Organized small and large scale events. Involved in community outreaches such as beautification
projects, feeding programs, and farmers markets. Replaced vandalized walls in Maryvale, AZ with

Provided assistance to patients, family members and visitors by directing them to their
appointments and destinations within the hospital. Utilized wheelchairs with less mobile patients
on discharge and transfers.
