Email Manager -> ICC Upgrade Considerations

Upgrade Blockers – Customer unable to upgrade unless they change
their platform/archive processes
– If platform/repository combination required is not supported
– If manual capture requiring an icon change/stub/delete in all e-mail
recipients folders for which the e-mail has been captured is required
– Manual capture where the user needs to add custom metadata at the
time of e-mail capture
Upgrade Caution - Confirm ability to support specific use case before
proceeding on an upgrade
– Customers using Microsoft Exchange public folders may not be able to
replicate deployment using foldering feature in ICC.
– Lotus Domino customers using the client plug-in will change to using
template changes for the client. May be an issue for some customers.

CS, EM, and RC to ICC v2.1 Migration

Customers will be able to upgrade from CommonStore, Email

Manager, and Records Crawler without migrating their data or losing
the use of existing e-mail stubs (shortcuts).

Due to the new Configuration Manager, in most cases, customer

upgrades require a server side installation and migration of current
configurations to ICC. Lab services should be contacted for
assistance.

Recommendation: Customers need to understand the following

slides for their installation to determine if and when they should
migrate to ICC.
