1- Senior Wellsite Geologist

Qualification:
• M.Sc. / BS Geology
Experience:
• Qualified Geologist must have minimum 6-10 years or more exclusive experience as
Wellsite geologist.
• Experience in drilling vertical and horizontal wells with both clastic and non-clastic
reservoirs
• Should have working experience in Pakistan Basins.
• Experience with PPL wells will be given preference
• Must have worked on drilling HTHP wells
• International experience is preferable
• Good track record in QHSE
• Should be fluent in spoken / written English
• Should have good presentation & technical report writing skills

Responsibilities:
• Supervise every stage of the drilling process for extracting gas and oil. They study and
analyses rocks from the oil and gas wells in order to direct the drilling and identify the
rock formation into which they are drilling
• Evaluating offset data before the start of drilling
• Analyzing, evaluating and describing formations while drilling, using cuttings, gas,
formation evaluation measurement while drilling (FEMWD) and wireline data
• Comparing data gathered during drilling with predictions made at the exploration stage
• Advising on drilling hazards and drilling bit optimization
• Taking full responsibility for making decisions about suspending or continuing drilling
• Advising operations personnel on-site and in the operations office
• Acting, in effect, as the representative of the onshore oil company geology team
• Supervising mudlogging, FEMWD and wireline services personnel and monitoring
quality control in relation to these services
• Keeping detailed records, writing reports, completing daily, weekly and post-well
reporting logs and sending these to appropriate departments
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of measuring while drilling (MWD) tools, such as
gamma and resistivity, as geosteering becomes increasingly important
2- Wellsite Geologist

Qualification:
• M.Sc. / BS Geology
Experience:
• Qualified Geologist must have minimum 3-6 years or more exclusive experience as
Wellsite geologist.
• Experience in drilling vertical and horizontal wells with both clastic and non-clastic
reservoirs
• Should have working experience in Pakistan Basins.

Qualification:
• M.Sc. / MS Geology with specialization in biostratigraphy

Experience:

• Qualified Geologist must have minimum 3 - 6 years or more exclusive experience as


Biostratigrapher / Palynologist
• Expert understanding of palynology methods, principles and applications
Expertise in palynology, systematics and taxonomy will be an advantage
• Lab experience
• Knowledge and experience of Pakistan regional geology will be an advantage
• Good track record in QHSE
• Should be fluent in spoken / written English
• Should have good presentation & technical report writing skills

Responsibilities:

• Interacting with other disciplines and integrating subsurface stratigraphy data to derive
frameworks, depositional models and correlations.
• Laboratory palynology preparation
• Multi well correlation and paleoenvironmental analyses
• Mentoring Junior Geoscientists in team
• Strata Bugs and Oilfield Data
• Advising other geoscientists
4- Wellsite Geologist / Biostratigrapher

Qualification:
• M.Sc. / BS Geology with Specialization in Biostratigraphy / Palynology
Experience:
• Qualified Geologist must have minimum 01 years’ exclusive experience as wellsite
Geologist or 2 - 3 years as mud logger / data engineer
• Experience in drilling vertical and horizontal wells with both clastic and non-clastic
reservoirs
• Understanding of palynology methods, principles and applications.
• Lab experience
• Knowledge and experience of Pakistan regional geology will be an advantage.
• Experience with PPL wells will be given preference.
• Good track record in QHSE.
• Should be fluent in spoken / written English
• Should have good presentation & technical report writing skills

Qualification:
• Graduate degree in Geology or related sciences
Experience:
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience required as wellsite geologist or mudlogger.
• 2-3 years of experience as geosteering geologist
• Horizontal well placement in carbonates and clastic rocks
• Landing of well in the target layer with the aid of LWD tools
• Well tracking and placement in the target zone
• Good knowledge of most recent LWD tools.
• Knowledge and experience of Pakistan regional geology will be an advantage
• Experience with PPL wells will be given preference.
• Good track record in QHSE.
• Should be fluent in spoken / written English
• Should have good presentation & technical report writing skills

Responsibilities:
• Supervising drilling horizontal wells in clastics and carbonate reservoirs
• Liaise with directional drillers, LWD engineers, operations geologist to make real-time
decisions.
• Analyzing, evaluating and describing formations while drilling, using cuttings, gas,
formation evaluation measurement while drilling (FEMWD) and wireline data to place
the well in the optimum zone.
• Liaising operations personnel on-site and in the operations office
• Advising geologists and engineers on well plans and new targets.
• Keeping detailed records, writing reports, completing daily, weekly and post-well
reporting logs and sending these to appropriate departments
6- Pressure Engineer

Qualification:
• Graduate degree in Geology or related sciences
Experience:
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience as wellsite geologist or mudlogger
• 2-3 years of experience as pore pressure engineer
• Working experience on HPHT and deep exploratory wells
• Knowledge and experience of Pakistan regional geology will be an advantage
• Experience with PPL wells will be given preference.
• Good track record in QHSE.
• Should be fluent in spoken / written English
• Should have good presentation & technical report writing skills

Responsibilities:
• Supervising drilling operations at site and ensure well safety.
• Provide estimation of pore pressure utilizing the most common methods of Dc
exponent and sigma logs.
• Calculating fracture and overburden gradient estimation using the available data (LOT /
FIT and well testing data)
• Liaise with geologists, engineers, mudloggers and company man for well safety
• Provide swab / surge sheets and mud hydraulics data
• Keeping detailed records, writing reports, completing daily, weekly and post-well
reporting logs and sending these to appropriate departments
7- Mudlogger

Qualification:
• Graduate degree in Geology or related sciences
Experience:
• 2-4 years of experience as mudlogger
• Working experience on HPHT and deep exploratory wells
• Knowledge and experience of Pakistan regional geology will be an advantage
• Experience with PPL wells will be given preference.
• Good track record in QHSE.
• Should be fluent in spoken / written English
• Should have good presentation & technical report writing skills

Responsibilities:
• Maintain record of drilling parameters and geological cuttings
• Ensuring sample collection at right depths and describing geological samples.
• Recording hydrocarbon gases and performing chromatography
• Ensuring all sensors are calibrated and functional
• Acquiring the digital data in the computerized mudlogging unit
• Keeping record of trip sheets, pit sheets and kick / kill sheets.
• Keeping detailed records, writing reports, completing daily, weekly and post-well
reporting logs and sending these to appropriate departments
