Content Standards
The learner demonstrates understanding of key concepts of inequalities in a triangle.
Performance Standards
The learner is able to communicate mathematical thinking with coherence and clarity
in formulating, investigating, analysing, and solving-life problems involving triangle
inequalities.
Learning Competency
The learner illustrates theorems on triangle inequalities (Exterior Angle Inequality
Theorem, Triangle Inequality Theorem, and Hinge Theorem).
I. Learning Objectives
At the end of the lesson, 80% of the students will be able to:
A. illustrates the triangle inequalities;
B. identify the triangle inequalities; and
C. inculcate discipline during the decision.
III. Procedures
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Checking of classroom cleanliness and orderliness
2. Prayer
3. Greetings
4. Classroom Attendance
B. Activity
The teacher prepared a challenging activity called Get and Get. Each box has a
triangle shape and the students select all the triangle that are not equal.
C. Analysis
1. What have you observed in the activity?
2. How to determine the triangle inequality?
B C
a+b>c
a+c>b
b+c>a
Example:
22 16
30
where; a = 16; b= 22 and c = 30
Solution: a+b>c
16 + 22 > 30
38 > 30
E. Application
The teacher divides the students into 5 groups (since there are 35 students,
every group has 7 members). Then the students answered/solved it. The first group
who got the correct answer has a reward to the teacher after class.

x
IV. Evaluation
The students will answer individually. And the students who got the perfect score
have a reward to be received on the next day.
Solve the x.

V. Assignment
For assignment, review and study the lesson of today for the long-test tomorrow.
