OBE SYLLABUS IN MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM

A. VISION: CNSC as a premier higher education institution in the Bicol Region.

B. MISSION: The Camarines Norte State College shall provide higher and advanced studies in the fields of education, arts and
sciences, economics, health, engineering, management, finance, accounting, business and public administration,
fisheries, agriculture, natural resources development and management and ladderized courses. It shall also
respond to research, extension and production services adherent to progressive leadership towards sustainable
development.

C. QUALITY POLICY: CNSC commits to continually uphold and strive for international standards through an effective and efficient
management system providing excellent professional services on instruction, research and extension to meet the
highest level of clientele’s satisfaction.

F. COURSE TITLE: Management information System

G. COURSE DESCRIPTION: The course Management Information System is designed to provide the students with an overview of concepts along
computer and information systems. They will be provided with working knowledge of some updated software tools
and learning resources for practical application in management. Upon completion of this course, the students will
be familiar with the basic computer technology and processes, organizing database, webpage designing and
presentation via moviemaking technology. Learning experiences of the MIS students will be enriched through direct
purposeful activities such as seminar and workshop.

I. PREREQUISITE: None

K. SCHEDULE: Saturday 8:00am – 12:00am, 1:00pm – 6pm

M. INSTITIUTIONAL INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES: CSNC envisions a graduate having the following attributes: professional

organizations or in various workplaces
7. Create artistic galleries with pictures modified through photo enhancement software
8. Display prudent use of information by practicing ethical, social and political standards in information technology

A. On Attendance and Tardiness


Attendance will be checked; in some cases, checking shall be by means of giving unannounced quizzes, Any student who will be
absent for 5 weeks shall be automatically dropped from the class list.

B. Course Requirements:

For every grading period the following weights shall be observed:

a. For a student to pass the subject, a grade of 75% or 3.0 shall be earned.
