B. MISSION: The Camarines Norte State College shall provide higher and advanced studies in the fields of education, arts and
sciences, economics, health, engineering, management, finance, accounting, business and public administration,
fisheries, agriculture, natural resources development and management and ladderized courses. It shall also
respond to research, extension and production services adherent to progressive leadership towards sustainable
development.

management system providing excellent professional services on instruction, research and extension to meet the
highest level of clientele’s satisfaction.

G. COURSE DESCRIPTION: The course Management Information System is designed to provide the students with an overview of concepts along
computer and information systems. They will be provided with working knowledge of some updated software tools
and learning resources for practical application in management. Upon completion of this course, the students will
be familiar with the basic computer technology and processes, organizing database, webpage designing and
presentation via moviemaking technology. Learning experiences of the MIS students will be enriched through direct
purposeful activities such as seminar and workshop.

M. INSTITIUTIONAL INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES: CSNC envisions a graduate having the following attributes: professional
competence, critical and creative thinking skills, technical competitive skills, productivity, social and ethical responsibility,
communication skills, interpersonal skills and lifelong learning.
N. PROGRAM INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES: The Graduate School aims to develop quality and values-laden graduates with high degree
of professionalism and leadership in their chosen area of discipline through specialization, research and extension services.
O. COURSE INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES: At the end of the course, students should be able to:
1. Understand how information systems are designed constructed, implemented and managed
2. Learn the fundamental principles in webpage designing
3. Learn the fundamental principles in database management and create simple database
4. Know how to evaluate software materials that maybe used in managing information.
5. Compare and contrast management information systems of certain agencies or institutions.
6. Use with efficiency and accuracy the productivity software that speeds up operation and information management in
organizations or in various workplaces
7. Create artistic galleries with pictures modified through photo enhancement software
8. Display prudent use of information by practicing ethical, social and political standards in information technology
