6. Agenda

The President reminded Members that the agenda had been established (Item 10 of the Minutes of 12 February
2001).

She announced that a certain number of proposals to amend the agenda, supported by the political
groups, had been referred to her and had been forwarded to Members:

) Wednesday 28 February
- the Commission statement on Commission reform: human resources, was brought forward in the
Agenda and would take place from 15.00 to 16.00;
- the Haug report on draft SAB 1/2001 (A5-0064/2001 - Item 65 in the Agenda) was brought
forward in the Agenda and would be dealt with after the abovementioned Commission statement;
- at the request of the AGRI Committee, and with the agreement of the political groups, a Commi-
ssion statement on the situation with regard to foot-and-mouth disease would be added after the
abovementioned Haug report. The statement would be followed by questions and answers for
30 minutes;
- the Jackson report on environmental inspections (A5-0041/2001 - Item 51) and the Wijkman
report on energy efficiency (A5-0054/2001 - Item 50) were withdrawn from the agenda to allow
the time necessary to deal with the items added.

) Thursday 1 March
- the Council and Commission statements on air attacks in Iraq were added as the first item and
would not be followed by motions for resolution;
- the Marset Campos report on Mercosur (A5-0049/2001 - Item 59) and the Salafranca Sánchez-
Neyra report on an association agreement with Chile (A5-0050/2001 - Item 60) would be dealt
with in a joint debate.
