BACKGROUND SESSION

The discussion material serves as a guideline for the mindset for the participants so that the
discussion that will be carried out is substantive and constructive. This session is important for
participants in preparing themselves and their roles in the rapidly developing professional world.
International relations students receive insight directly from academics and practitioners who are
experienced in their fields.

Starting with the implementation of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2016, international
relations students do not compete locally, but also at the level of Southeast Asia. As the largest youth in
Southeast Asia, Indonesia has an important war in the success of the MEA, especially the profession and
preparation of expertise.

But in fact, there are still many international students in Indonesia left behind in several other
countries in ASEAN. Training in skills, experience, management skills and networking is something that
international students face. With the theme of the Discussion on HIMAHI "THE SCOPE OF
INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS", it can provoke and make the discussion a solution and adaptive to the
existing reality.
