How to create your Madmagz magazine?

THE COLLABORATIVE MODE

Madmagz also has a collaborative feature that allows you to invite several people to work with you
to create your magazine!
To do this, several options are available:

● Share the collaboration link provided to you at the beginning of the creation of your magazine

Invite your collaborators to contribute to the development of your magazine during its publication
with this pictogram, which is included in the general view of your magazine.

NB: Employees may not see the entire magazine or modify other people's pages. Only the creator of
the magazine is able to view it as a whole and moderate the pages sent to him.

DESIGN YOUR MAGAZINE LAYOUT

On the left, you will find the different page categories available (cover, summary, article,.....) and
for each of these categories, a wide range of design and layout choices.
In order to start editing the content of your magazine, choose one or more pages and click on the
"validate" button at the bottom of the page to open the editing area. Throughout the creation of your
magazine, you can continue to add or delete pages, thanks to these tabs, located in the toolbar
present in the overview of the magazine.

Different options are available in the Madmagz editor. Below is a summary of the different icons
and functions available during the edition of your magazine:

Below are the different icons related to editing in the work area:

EDIT THE

CONTENTSYou will be able to adjust the different elements that make up your pages (title, photos,
texts etc...) When you click on an element (photo or text), the editing tools appear.
● Text: font, size for the whole text box, bold, italic, color for the selected text..…
● Image: In order to edit an image and insert the one of your choice, a menu appears when you
click on an image. You can then load the image of your choice from your computer or from the
internet.

Once the image is loaded, the

pictograms below will tell you if the quality of this image allows web only publication or web and
print publication.

PUBLISH ITS MAGAZINE

When you have finished editing your magazine, you can publish it.
Attention, any publication is irreversible. Once your magazine is published, you will no longer be
able to modify it, only delete it. It is therefore strongly recommended to preview the rendering of
your magazine in web and PDF preview formats before publication and/or printing to ensure the
quality of the rendering.
To publish it:
● The total number of pages must be a multiple of 4
● You must give your magazine a name and number. (see step 1)
● Finally, choose the theme of your magazine. In your case "Education »

DISTRIBUTE ITS MAGAZINE

Congratulations! You published your first Madmagz magazine!

You can now share your
● magazine by email through the link of your web magazine
● On the different social networks (Facebook,Twitter)
You can also integrate it on your school's website or blog using the integration code.

ADD INTERACTIONS

Once your magazine is finalized and published, you will have the opportunity to add interactions:
● internet links
● links to other pages of the magazine
● videos (Youtube, vimeo)
● sound (Soundclound)
● quizzes (Google forms)
● Slideshare / Prezi presentations
● GIFs
PDF AND PRINTING

After publication of your magazine and therefore, on the publication page, you will find, under the
premium options, the options for downloading your magazine in:
● Consultation PDF: Wireless "Madmagz", it will allow you to keep an offline copy of your
production. Excluding subscriptions, this one is not free. Once purchased, simply download it from
the same place (publication confirmation page); there is no delivery time.
● Printing PDF: wireless and with images in the best available resolution, it allows you to choose
between two types of printing:
○ Personal impression: no bleeds or cut lines, you print it on a domestic printer.
● Professional printing: to receive a "kiosk" quality magazine, you can order prints directly from
your magazine's publication space. This service is not free of charge. To know the prices, you can
make an instant quote. Delivery times are 3 working days (excluding weekends) by express delivery
and 5 working days by normal delivery.

Access the magazines

The next time you connect to Madmagz, to continue editing a current magazine: Just log in, then
click on "My magazines > In progress" and click on the "pencil" tab next to the cover to edit the
magazine.

To access the options of a previously published magazine: Just identify yourself, then click on "My
magazines > In progress" and click on the "pencil" tab next to the cover to access the options of the
published magazine.
