THE NATIONAL CURRICULUM
The national curriculum provides equal opportunities for all
children to learn and is split into five key stages.
Age 11-14 is Key Stage 3
Age 14-16 is Key Stage 4 (ending with GCSE exams.)
Age 16-18 is Key Stage 5 (ending with A level exams.)

OXBRIDGE
• Nine out of ten MPs went to university – by far the highest proportion of any Parliament to date.
Three out of ten went to Oxbridge with Oxford being the home of 102 of the 649 MPs.
• A breakdown shows 38 per cent of Conservative MPs went to Oxbridge compared to 28 per cent of
Liberal Democrats and 20 per cent of Labour.
