Description

Adamite GT rolls are high performance steel rolls with an optimum combination of wear and firecrack
resistance. This quality has a short range of carbon content plus varying quantities of nickel, chromium
and molybdenum to achieve higher hardness levels. It can be produced either by the static monoblock
conventional method, or by the horizontal centrifugal
cast method.

Adamite GT is a hardenable alloy which allows a bainitic microstructure to be produced in the roll
sections providing a high strength matrix.The matrix slows down the crack initiation and propagation
which gives rise to a high resistance to spalling and the best properties against firecracks.

For Centrifugal Cast Duplex Adamite GT rolls we supply two kinds of materials, Spheroidal
Graphite (SG1) and Graphitic Steel, suitable to meet all the mill bending loads. It also
ensures the additional tensile strength requirements in the journal area.
