Stitches:

chain
slip- slip stitch
sc- single crochet
inc- increase (two sc in same stitch)
dec- decrease (one stitch join two sc)
For hook size I usually choose 1.5-2 sizes smaller than the suggested hook size.
This keeps the stitches tight and the stuffing from showing through.
(Ex: if it calls for a 5mm I usually go with a 3.5mm or 33mm. The smaller the hook/
thinner the yarn the smaller the doll. Worsted “5mm” yarn using a 3.5mm hook gave
me a 12” doll)
You’ll also need a needle to stitch the arms onto the torso.
The body is worked in as one continuous piece. (In the round) No stitching
together for this part!
*I alternate my even row stitches. (see pattern) I found this helps the
increases/decreases form a rounder shape as you go. * Stuff tightly and shape as
you go.
