Let the student enumerate their expectations in the class. (Performance tasks,

Teacher will randomly ask the students regarding their expectations and ideas about
the subject.
c. Abstraction
Teacher will give brief description about the subject and its rules.
Teacher will explain the lessons pace.

2. Explain the distinguishing characteristics of representative Philippine Music selections from
Luzon in relation to its culture and geography. MU7LU-Ib-3

Motivation : Stop ,Listen and Name
Teacher will play music (instruments or songs) and let the student identify the
country it is originated

C. Presentation
The teacher will present the lesson by showing some video clips and pictures that will
show the history of Luzon Lowlands music.
D. Activity Proper
a. Activity
Let the student describe the music of Luzon by listing words that fit its characteristics.
b. Analysis
Teacher will randomly ask the students regarding the words listed that they think
would describe the music of Luzon.
c. Abstraction
Teacher will give a brief description about the music of Luzon.
Teacher will explain the musical history of Luzon.
d. Application
Listening Activity: Folk songs
IV. Evaluation
Teacher will ask the students to describe the folk song/s.
V. Assignment :
Enumerate five (5) Pangasinan Folk Songs. (Title)
Familiarize what the song is being depicted.

D. Activity Proper
a. Activity
Let the student describes each category by enumerating some words that fits
each term.
b. Analysis
Teacher will randomly ask the students about the words that they think
describe each category of Luzon Music.
c. Abstraction
Teacher will present brief description of each category.
Teacher will enumerate some examples and its corresponding
history/description.
d. Application
Using a chart, describe each category by listing word/s that is associated.

Fact or Bluff: Teacher will randomly describe some terms and students will determine if it is
a true or false.
V. Assignment
Select a song and interpret the song through illustrations on a bond paper.

Let the student identify on how to use the following instruments by means of

Teacher will randomly ask the students on how the instruments is being
played.

Teacher will present short description in each category (instruments and
ensemble)
d. Application
Teacher will present a picture or words and randomly ask the students to
describe or present information related to each picture/words.
IV. Evaluation
Picture Game: Teacher will show pictures under the category of instrumental Music and
student will identify what kind of instrument or ensemble is being asked.
V. Assignment
Review the lesson: Vocal and Instrumental Music of Lowlands of Luzon: Quiz on Monday
