Landmen are often reluctant to navigate in a land system because they are unsure of what is
available, how to find what they are looking for, and how to retrieve the information available to
them. Consequently, Landmen often depend on land administration staff to run reports, create
system-generated exhibits and perform analysis of land data. Since there are times when quickly
retrieving data is necessary and no one is available to help, it is important for Landmen to have a
basic working knowledge of the BOLO Land System. This class will introduce Landman to the land
data being captured in BOLO, teach them how to perform quick lookups and inquiries of land
information, and how to run and read land reports. This class will also teach Landmen how to
capture and report contract data in BOLO.
Objectives
• Land System set up High-level Overview
• Performing Lease inquiries and utilize Advanced Searches to locate lease
• Utilize canned land reports for analysis
• Understand the contract screen and run canned reports to understand the relationship
