Mission Statement
Welcome to Earthwell Refill. We want to be your source for quality natural products! Instead of throwing away
your plastic bottles after one use, you can refill them again and again. Less bottles thrown away means less
bottles ending up in our landfills and oceans, so you can treat the Earth well while shopping! You can refill much

addition to our refill products, we offer a variety of kits (shaving, laundry, & dental) featuring several items... ideal
for gift-giving... and a carefully selected assortment of unique retail items from local vendors such as candles,

Principles of Environmental Justice

Earthwell Refill addresses the 14th, 3rd, and 17th environmental justice principles written by delegates at the
National People of Color Environmental Leadership Summit which served as an important event in the
environmental justice movement. The store addresses principle 14, “​Environmental Justice opposes the
destructive operations of multinational corporations”, by providing affordable, healthy alternatives to
multinational companies so that people aren’t forced to contribute to them. They also address principle 3, 3)
Environmental Justice mandates the right to ethical, balanced and responsible uses of land and renewable
resources in the interest of a sustainable planet for humans and other living things” and 17, “​Environmental
Justice requires that we, as individuals, make personal and consumer choices to consume as little of Mother
Earth's resources and to produce as little waste as possible; and make the conscious decision to challenge and
reprioritize our lifestyles to ensure the health of the natural world for present and future generations”, by
providing sustainable consumer alternatives that reduce the amount of resources we are using to produce as
little waste as possible which is balanced, responsible, balanced, and ethical.

Service Learning Project(s)

For my Service Learning Project, I created a short podcast that includes the topics of botanical products, Zero
Waste movement and stores, and an in depth description of the store itself. This promotes the ideals stated in
their mission statement to promote healthy, and natural products and why it is important to consider the zero
waste movement in order to produce less waste.
