Mixed use high rise

Introduction

Sea level rise is a threat to entire coastal cities. The various predictions call for an immediate change
in perception of land use patterns and resource management. The FSI of Kerala is par with
metropolitan cities of India.

This hypothetical project is a response to the sea level rise predictions of coastal climate*** by 2035.
This should be a model mixed use building expressing the kind of development required for the
future. The building should act as a memoir of resilience shown by Kerala on odds.

The gods own country is choked with huge population in little space. The landslide from east and sea
level rise from west along with recent floods leaves only a nominal area for human habitation and
development.

With a geographical area of 38863 sq.km and a population of 3,34,06,000 (2011) Kerala is under
unique pace of development.

A society of such calibre was petrified with torrential rain for a few weeks. Landslides and floods
were reported from a right and left of the state. We learned that each ₹ spent on mitigation will save
x₹ in rebuild. In the current scenario high density, disaster resilient building is most desirable.
