If you are logging in your IISc email account for the first time, follow the steps given

in this document
1. Kindly click the below link to go to the login page or else in any browser enter the following URL

https://login.microsoftonline.com

2. The following page would appear. Enter your IISc Email ID and click on “Next”
3. Enter your First login password in the following page and click ok “Sign in”
4. Some more information is required to complete login process so, kindly click on “Next” in the following page

5. As a security feature Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) is enabled for your account. You can choose one the following options to setup MFA

• Using “Microsoft Authenticator app” to validate when you login to your email account. Requires Internet connectivity on mobile (Wi-Fi or 3G/4G)

• Receiving OTP on mobile for verification when you login to your email account. Requires GSM signal on mobile phone.

6. Once you complete setting up MFA you will be redirected to the below page. Enter the first login password as current password and then enter and re-enter your new
password and click on “Sign in”

IMPORTANT: The new password must be at least 8 characters long, contain upper & lower case letters, and contain number or special characters.
7. Some more information is required to complete login process so, kindly click on “Next” in the following page
8. To secure your account and enable Self-Service Password Reset, it is required to verify your mobile number and email id, and have it verified. Kindly click on “Set it up now”
or “Verify” next to authentication phone to setup a mobile number to which message will be sent when you want to reset your email password.
9. Enter your mobile number and click on “text me” or “call me”. If you chose “text me”, a verification code will be sent to the number. Enter the verification code in the box
provided and click on “verify”. If you chose “call me”, you will receive a verification call on your mobile. Once you pick up the call you are required to press the “#” key.
10. Kindly click on “Set it up now” next to “Authentication Email” to setup a personal/alternate email id to which message will be sent when you want to reset your email
password.
11. Enter your personal/alternate email id and click on “email me”. A verification code will be sent to the email id. Enter the verification code in the box provided and click on
“verify”.
12. Now the authentication phone and email are verified, click on “finish”. This is a one‐time only setup. You will not be required to update these again.
13. On your first login Set your time zone to ensure that the emails show correct date and time. Click on “set the time zone for your calendar” link that appears on the top right
corner.
14. Select preferred Language and Time zone and click on “Save”
