Event manager is a person of vision, energy, and commitment in a position of responsibility and authority. An event
manager plays myriad professional roles. Event managers and their teams are often behind-the-scenes running the event.
Event managers may also be involved in more than just the planning and execution of the event, but also brand building,
marketing and communication strategy.
The event manager is expert at the creative, technical and logistical elements that help an event succeed. This includes
event design, audio-visual production, scriptwriting, logistics, budgeting, and negotiation and, of course, client service. It is
a multi-dimensional profession.
As an Event manager you are to oversee and organize events that will make an impact to a target audience. You’ll ensure
events are successful and cost-effective, paying attention to budget and time constraints.
An event manager is, above all, a project manager who understands marketing and promotion techniques. Should be
enthusiastic with fresh ideas and mentor organizational skills required so as to not leave anything about an event to chance.
Reporting:
The Event Manager will be reporting to the GM - Events / MD.
Event Manager should have all records and formats pertaining to every event, on-track and update the same.
Have full control of every material pertaining to events along with event checklists, agreements, etc.
