Central Weather Bureau

One-Month Outlook Issued every Friday

Date issued : November 29, 2019

Valid period : 4 weeks from November 30, 2019 to December 27, 2019

1. Weather outlook
Models show that Taiwan will mainly be affected by northeasterly monsoon in next two weeks. As the
northeasterly monsoon strengthens, temperature will decrease and rainfall probability will be high in
northern and eastern Taiwan, while weather in other parts of the island will be cloudy to sunny. At the
end of the first week, because moisture from southern China will move in, northern and eastern Taiwan
will be cold and wet while central and southern Taiwan will experience brief showers. Meanwhile,
overall conditions will likely favor development of tropical depression over the western North Pacific
in next two weeks. As model predictability for tropical storm is limited, the public is advised to pay
attention to CWB’s weather forecasts at all times.
a). Nov30~Dec6 : Both mean temperature and accumulative precipitation are most likely to be near
normal all over Taiwan.
b). Dec7~Dec13 : Both mean temperature and accumulative precipitation are most likely to be near
normal all over Taiwan.
c). Nov30~Dec27 : Both mean temperature and accumulative precipitation have the largest probability
of being near normal all over Taiwan.
