Resolution Of The Board Of Supervisors Of The County Of Sonoma, State


Of California, Approving The Memorandum Of Understanding Between The
County Of Sonoma And The Sonoma County Prosecutors' Association
(S.C.P.A.) Bargaining Unit 45, Effective July 13, 2010 Through July 1, 2012.

Whereas, The Sonoma County Prosecutors' Association (S.C.P.A.) is a recognized


employee organization representing employees in the classifications of Deputy District Attorney
I-IV and Child Support Attorney I-IV; and

Whereas, the County requested and S.C.P.A. agreed, to open contract negotiations; and

Whereas, the County and Association negotiators have reached a tentative agreement on
the terms of a successor M.O.U.; and

Whereas, the County has satisfied its obligation under Government Code Section 3505
and the County Employee Relations Policy to meet and confer over the terms and conditions of
employment contained in the recommended successor M.O.U.; and

Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, that this Board hereby approves the Tentative
Agreement setting the terms and conditions of the successor M.O.U. between the County and
S.C.P.A., a copy of which accompanies this Board item and is incorporated by reference herein;
and

Be It Further Resolved the terms and conditions of the Memorandum of Understanding


shall be in full force and effect from the date of Board adoption through July 1, 2012, except as
specified otherwise in the M.O.U. and/or attached Letters of Understanding; and

Be It Further Resolved that it is not the intent of this Board in approving this M.O.U. to
change, modify or repeal in any way any of the existing rules of the Sonoma County Civil
Service Commission nor to diminish and remove from the Commission any of its jurisdiction
under Ordinance No. 305-A or the Commission's Rules adopted therefore; and

Be It Further Resolved that it is not the intent of this Board in approving this M.O.U. to
change, modify or repeal in any way any of the existing rules of the Sonoma Retirement Board
nor to diminish or remove from that Board any of its jurisdiction under the 1937 County
Employee's Retirement Act; and

Finally, Be It Further Resolved that the County Administrator and the Acting
