Course Description: This course aism to enlighten the mind and heart of the students; wisdom, for entertainment, for an understanding of diverse
human experiences. It is an excellent way to sharpen close reading skills, enable critical thinking and refine the students’
general sense of different literatures of local and other countries.

Course Intended Learning Outcome At the end of this course, the students should be able to :

 Summarize and outline the plot of the various pieces of World Literature with Philippine Literature
 Identify and discuss the human situation depicted in the various piece of literature.
 Read literary texts representing various regions, periods and genres.
 Reflect on the theme of the various pieces of literature
 Express appreciation for the wisdom imparted by the various piece of literature.

Absences/Tardiness: Students are only allowed to have at least 3 absences for the whole term. Two (3) instances of tardiness are equivalent to 1 absent.
