1. Introduction:
This document contains instruction for Installation, using and
troubleshooting.
2. Purpose:
This document intends to be useful for the end user in order
to understand how to use all the features and components
of given application. And also, it describes how to begin with
the application for a new user.

3. Getting Started
a. Prerequisites:
Following are the prerequisites for using the
application.
- Mobile device with minimum android version of
4.2.0
- A working Internet connection.
b. Installation:
- Find the auction.apk file in file manager and click it.
An installation manager will be opened and
installation process will start.
- Wait the installation to finish.
- Click on done once it is finished.
c. Register on application:
A screen similar to right one will appear
when you open the application for the
first time.
- Select Sign Up option.
- Enter username and password of
your choice in the fields(shown
below)
 - Select Create Account button.

d. Login / Sign In:

A pop-up will appear asking your
username and password. Enter your
details and Click on Sign In button.

4. Features:
a. Bid Item: this is feature will present
user a screen with list of items
available for bidding.
If there is not any item available for
bidding currently, the list will be
empty and screen similar to right
will be displayed.
 If there are items available, then a detailed list of items
will displayed(as shown in the image below).

Warning Note: A user can not bid for the product he/she has put for the sale(/auction).

b. Add Item: This feature lets a user,i.e. a

seller to put items he/she wants to sell
for auction so that other users can see
and bid and purchase items.
- To add item one needs to go to
Add Item tab, and then enter the
details to add the item.
- Enter Enter button.
c. Added Items: A user can see items it has added for sale
with the help of this feature. Select the Added Item
option for the side pane, and you should see a list of
items you have added for auction so far.
d. Purchased Items: This feature shows
the items you have purchased. On
clicking on the item an Invoice will be
generated.

e. Sign out: This feature lets you logout from the

application and then closes the application from
foreground.
f. Search An Item: A user can search an
item to look up its status, maximum
bid which has been made so far for the
item. Items which have been sold will
not displayed. Only items which are
still available for bidding will be
displayed.

g. Addition features: Some features like Add Category,

Merge Category, Block Fraudulent Users is reserved for
Admin only.
5. Admin Features:
a. Block Fraudulent Users: Admin can block fraudulent
user with the help of Block User feature. A user which
tries to bid for an item which he has put an auction, this
will be treated as fraudulent act, also when a user bids
very high(~10 times) as compared to current bid, he is
treated as fraudulent user.

b. Merge Category: If admin feels a pair of categorise

should be merged to make a new bigger class or a
category should be merged into a bigger category.
Admin can do this with this feature.
 c. Delete Item: If Admin feels some item bid is invalid,
he/she can delete that bid.

d. Add New Category: Admin can add new categories.

6. Privacy Policy:
• The user must keep his Username and Password secret
and must not be given to anyone.
• The organization/Auction-App team will never access or
use the personal data of users.
• User details will be stored in mobile device but data can
not be used in raw form by user or any other person.
7. Uninstallation:
If the application is no longer needed by the user, he/she can
remove it. Just hold the app icon for more than 2 seconds, and
then drag it to uninstallation bin to remove the application
from your device.
User should also remove the .apk file from file manager after
un-installing the application.
