I. Introduction

The National Service Training Program (NSTP) is a law also known as Republic Act
9163 or the NSTP act of 2001. This program is aimed at enhancing civic consciousness
and preparedness in the youth through integrating and promoting values, ethics in
service and patriotism to the country by undergoing training in either LTS, CWTS, or
ROTC, and to produce ethical and socially responsible citizens in service to the people,
country, and God.
Through the course of undergoing NSTP, part of its program are seminars to be
conducted that will equip the learners with essential learnings outside of the 4 corners
of their classrooms in order to full understand and give the necessary things that are
important matters under the current status quo.
The class responsible of the seminar held during the 13 th day of October, 2019,
made things possible through the lessons and values learnt during the course and even
the speakers had excellent explanation that were close to the heart and was definitely
discussed thoroughly under the discourse of the issues that was tackled during the
seminar. Things like global citizenship whereas everyone should be aware of their
responsibilities as a dweller of the same planets and others and how we can help even
in the littlest accomplishment can make a huge difference and would definitely help
create a better world even on recognizing the rights as a human of those people who
are living with HIV/ AIDS and preventing it from spreading, or even how we can be able
to pull us up and start moving on saving the planet by addressing the issues in the
environment can lead the world to be a better place.
Under the seminar covered, topics concerned with global citizenship, HIV/AIDs
awareness and Environmental Issues are the important subject matters that are timely
and relevant especially in the current status quo and it is the duty of the seminar to
bring it out for the participants to fully understand and set the right track on what
should be done and why should it be a big concern because by the end of the day, we
reap what we sow.
Within this document are the accomplishments that has been achieved on and
before the seminar prepared by the NSTP-M2C-AM Class.

VII. Summary

Last 13th day of October, 2019 at the students’ pavilion at the University of
Nueva Caceres held a seminar hosted by the class of Mr Julio Ortiz and Ma’am Mary
Anne Tusi that concluded successfully with the help from all of the NSTP students as
both hosts and participants. Despite of the shortcoming to the assigned emcees, the
show did go on and all of the efforts of the NSTP AM Class of Ma’am Mary Anne V. Tusi
held a successful seminar. From the preparation, registration, and the event proper. The
program ran smoothly and part of the success was also the speakers who gave
wonderful insights to their given topics and expertise were shown by the invited guest
speakers.

Starting off with the attendance whereas the seminar had all of the participants
during the seminar. Everyone got participative especially from the talks of the second
speaker whereas it was all about HIV/ AIDS. The hosts were able to manage the seminar
that also contributed to the success by providing a program that won’t bore the
students and activities really made the students to engage during the talks. The hosts
also was able to provide the speakers token that would appreciate their efforts on giving
their insights and expertise on the certain topics that were assigned. And last but not
the least, the program wouldn’t happen if it weren’t for the advisers that has been
always there for the students especially when they needed guidance on making the
program possible and for the day to have a wonderful weather that made all things
possible.

The talks were truly connected with each other as to how to become a functional
global citizen. Part of being a functional citizen was being able to resist temptation,
recognizing all people even if they are suffering from HIV/ AIDS and even being a
responsible citizen by knowing the harms that could be implied by an individual on the
destruction of the environment, caring for the environment, and being aware of the
dangers of the issues in the environment. As NSTP students, everyone should be able to
recognize the rights of our own kind and to the environment that we live in and that we
should be capable of being MAKADIYOS, MAKATAO, MAKAKALIKASAN, at MAKABANSA(
pious, humane, nature lover and a nationalist).
