Ease of Integration
Flexibility and easy integration are
ensured with the ACE II GPS
module’s user-configurable dual
serial I/O ports. Both ports may
be configured either to the TSIP
binary data protocol for maximum
data and control over the GPS
receiver, or to the easy-to-use TAIP
protocol, ideal for tracking appli-
cations. Either port outputs your
selection of NMEA standard data
messages, and can receive RTCM
SC-104 differential corrections
for 2-meter accuracy.
TSIP data packets are output
once each second, and the user can
configure the NMEA or TAIP
message output rate as needed.
TSIP commands are used to con-
figure and permanently store these
configuration and message selec-
tions in nonvolatile memory.
Trimble offers a selection of
high-sensitivity and robust noise
rejection GPS antennas for use
with the ACE II GPS module.
These include a magnetic mount
miniature, a thru-hole permanent
mount or a small pole-mount
antenna. Moreover, the ACE II
GPS module reliably reports
antenna status to assure proper
system operation.
Starter Kits
ACE II GPS starter kits make it
simple to evaluate the ACE II GPS
module’s exceptional performance.
The kit includes the ACE II GPS
receiver installed inside a durable
metal enclosure, a magnetic mount
antenna, an AC power adapter, a
serial interface cable, a reference
manual, and GPS tool software
used to communicate with the
GPS module.
