SUBJECT: AVANTRA AIR FILTRATION UNIT RELEASED

We are pleased to announce the official release of the Agfa self-contained Avantra Air
Filtration unit. The AAF 1000, as it will be known as, is an accessory for the Avantra 25
and 30 families of imagesetters, which is designed to supply filtered air incorporating a
HEPA, filter which is 99.97% efficient down to a particle size of .3 microns. This filtered air
will help prevent contamination accumulations on the Spin Motor Mirror and encoder such
that the cleaning cycle is lengthened to 9 to12 months for service intervention.

The business philosophy that we are recommending for this accessory is as follows: The
AAF 1000 is intended to be sold as a spare part to subsidiaries from Headquarters. The
subsidiaries can then sell the unit to the end user at suggested ENP or bundle it with
service contracts to reduce Agfa's support costs. The cost to he subsidiaries will be
approximately $900.00 US dollars. The suggested ENP for the AAF 1000 to the customer
is $1595.00 US dollars.

Both the subsidiary and end user can realize the benefits of adding an AAF 1000 to an
Avantra system, as follows:

SUBJECT: Avantra Air Filtration Unit Released

In this package we have included the AAF 1000 Support Plan and the Technical
Installation/Maintenance Manual. Pictures of the unit and specifications are also included
in the documentation. This AAF 1000 will also be supported on the GCSC in a manner
similar to other released Agfa products.

Units are currently available for immediate delivery from Wilmington Field Service Stock.
