1. No one is allowed to come to class in sleeveless shirts, skirts more than 2 inches above the knees,
shorts or slippers.
2. No gadgets are allowed in class. If any gadget goes off, the whole class gets a 60 recitation
grade for the day and the person who owns the gadget gets a double 60.
3. No one is allowed to go out of the classroom once the class has started unless there is a life and
death situation, subject to my assessment.
4. No books, codals, or any printed materials are allowed in class. You may write your notes on a
notebook or your palms or rely on the magnificence of the human brain or your own miserable
fate.
5. There will be no required textbook but the sequence as presented in the book of Atty. Timoteo
Aquino will be followed during class discussions. Make the necessary adjustments viz a vis your
choice of reference because the world does not revolve around you and I will not modify this
syllabus to accommodate.
6. Soft bound handwritten case digests should be submitted one (1) week before the scheduled
final exams. Each case must be digested in only one (1) sheet of yellow pad paper or long bond
paper. A separate summary of case doctrines must be placed at the beginning of the bound
digests. Do not ask me to illustrate. Ask those who have come before you and managed to pass
NIL.
7. Attendance will be checked regularly. I do not care whether you decide to miss class but you
have to (a) advise me through the Office or a classmate and (b) ensure that the number of
allowable hours are met. There will be no extra point for perfect attendance. If you are not
ready, do not attend my class. Go somewhere else where you might at least be of some use. You
will not be called for recitation when you are absent, subject to the provisions of the next
succeeding paragraph. You will, however, get a grade of zero in case there is a quiz on the said
day.
If 50% plus 1 of the class is absent, all those who are absent will get a 60 recitation grade for
the day and those who are absent may be called for recitation, in which case they get a 60 for
every time they are called to recite for that day.
8. Exams are essay type. No special exams will be given to those who will miss their midterm or
final exams unless they are dying or dead.
* Class Standing will consist of recitations and announced and unannounced quizzes
