I am writing to express my interest for the position of Aquaculturist II. I believe my

qualification and expertise will suit in the said position. I am Felipe de Guia Balleta, a graduate
of Bachelor of Science in Fisheries at the University of Eastern Philippines with an award of
most outstanding Fisheries student on March 30, 1985. I am a licensed Fisheries Professional
who recently passed the licensure examination for fisheries technologist last October 23-24,
2019.

Since graduation, my professional career has centered around the proud institution of
the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources. A year after I earned my degree, I started my
work as a Laborer in Lavezares Aquaculture Experimental Farm. I was designated as a Fisher
Aide on April 3, 1989 and eventually promoted to Farm Worker on July 1, 1989. I have worked
on the same Position until present and I believe that I have served my duties and
responsibilities more than sufficiently as I been trained for my work since my employment until
present.

Furthermore, I have been given several projects and designations for the years that I
am employed in the Bureau:
- Designated Collecting Officer for DA-BFAR Region VIII – Northern Samar
- Project In-charge of Lavezares Aquaculture Experimental Farm/ Regional Brackish
Water Production Center
- Canvasser for BFAR Region VIII – Northern Samar
- Inspector for BFAR Region VIII – Northern Samar
- Northern Samar Provincial BFAR Seaweed Coordinator
- Quarantine Officer BFAR Region VIII – Allen, Northern Samar
- Deputized Wildlife Enforcement Office – DENR
- Quarantine Officer BFAR Region VIII – Catarman Domestic Airport
 The abovementioned designations have allowed me to develop a better understanding
on the mission and vision of BFAR. As I share the goals of the Bureau, I would like to continue
my ever-enduring service to the best of my abilities.
