Exp 6 - Quantitative Determination of Soda Ash
add starch, titrate until blue color
Composition by Double Indicator Titration
disappears
 Use boiled dH2O to dissolve carbon dioxide  Water sample
 Standardization of HCl using Na2CO3 ind methyl o Add MnSO4 + NaOH with KI and NaN3
orange o Add H3PO4 to dissolve ppt

 Continue until pH 11

 Calibration curve
 Highest conc -> press 2 -> enter wavelength

 Blank -> Press 1 -> GOTO WL ->enter
wavelength -> enter -> autozero -> insert other

 Dowex 50 cation exchange resin


 pH eluate = pH dH2O
 titrated eluent with NaOH
 Standardize with KHP
