FAQ - TEACHER INTERVIEW

• What is your educational background? (Or I see you went to [insert school name here]. What was the most
rewarding part of attending that university?)

• What is one of your weaknesses, and how are you working to improve it?
• What interests do you pursue outside of the classroom? I love to dance, so I want to pursue my interest outside the
classroom by doing Zumba class. It’s not only making me and my students sexier but physically fit. Especially nowadays
that almost teenagers are using cellphones and they forget to exercise.
• To what teams and/or clubs did you belong as a student? None
• What activities might you coach or advise as a member of the teaching staff? Doing Zumba as well., everyday all
teachers are encountering or facing stress so by doing Zumba it’s the one way to release stress and have a healthier
body and mind.
• When did you decide to become a teacher, and why did you choose this field? Aside that its my mothers dream (na
nasa heaven na).,one of the reason why I decided to become a teacher because of my teacher in 4th year high school
way back 1999. She is Mrs. Carmelita Caldito my class adviser., during my highschool life I go cutting class but then mrs.
caldito always there for me giving advice and she don’t give up even I got failing grades to my other subjects she always
telling me that someday if you don’t get serious in your education you will regret. Then before I graduated I promised to
myself that I want to be a teacher and I want to be mrs caldito I want to motivate students that “education is the
priceless wealth that you can inherent from your parents. I want to be a role model from them as mrs caldito did to me.
• Why do you want to teach at the secondary level? I want to teach secondary level I want to share them my
experience’s during highschool days. Secondary level is the stage where the students are getting matured, getting to the
right or wrong way. So I want to share my experiences how I failed and how do I stand.
• What personal strengths do you find especially helpful in your teaching? Three of my strengths that contribute well
to my career are; adaptability, I can easily adapt the changes like the attitude of my students and co-workers and
flexibility, and solve problems and finally mental ability which helps me understand and help my students understand as
well.
• What is your favorite subject to teach? Why? Mapeh, because I love to dance, I love music, I like sports.
• What is your least favorite subject, and how do you overcome your indifference toward it to teach it well?
Mathematics, giving concentration on this subject I know I can overcome it.
• What do you like most about teaching as a career? I like teaching career because it’s a life long learning. The more
you teach, the more you learn.
• What is your least favorite aspect of teaching? my least favorite aspect of teaching are the paper works because you
cannot see in those people works whether you students learned or not it should be better if i have time if we have more
time to teach inside the classroom than preparing paper works.
• What is your philosophy of education? I believe a teacher lives to serve. A teacher is dedicated to learning, to his or
her discipline, to his or her students, and to making the future the best possible place for all of us to live. These are the
challenges I accepted when I chose to be a teacher. I remain committed to them.
• What role do standards play in your classroom? Learning and content standards are the role that I want to play in my
classroom. As a teacher, it is my job to develop lesson plans that follow and meet the learning and content standards
while also adding my own dose of creativity into the lessons to make them engaging and interesting for my students so
that they will better retain the information and thus, perform better on state tests.
Learning standards primarily deal with the content of the curriculum in the schools. Meeting and determine the
standards to which students need to perform by the end of the semester or school year.
Content standards indicate what students should know and be able to do by the end of the school year. The curriculum
and my lessons should be designed to help students get to these end goals.

online resources, technology can help improve teaching. Teachers can use different apps or trusted online
resources to enhance the traditional ways of teaching and to keep students more engaged.
