NEEDLES & OTHER MATERIALS:

US #6 / 4.0mm (or size to obtain gauge);
Small amount of DK weight yarn;
1 yard of Ribbon in matching color;

FINISHED MEASUREMENT: 4.0”

GAUGE: 22 stitches = 4”

ABBREVIATIONS AND GLOSSARY:

K – knit
M1R – with left needle, pick up strand between the last stitch worked and the next stitch on the left needle
from back to front, knit into it through front loop.
M1L – with left needle, pick up strand between the last stitch worked and the next stitch on the left needle
from front to back, knit into it through back loop.
K2tog – knit 2 stitches together
SSK – slip the next 2 stitches knit wise, return both to left needle, knit 2 stitches together through back loop

PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS:
Cast on 28 stitches using long tail cast on. Give some extra length to the tail for sewing of the sole later.
Join in the round, be careful not to twist the stitches.
Round 1, 3, 5 & 7: Knit.

Round 9 – round 13: Knit.
Round 14: K20, SSK, SSK, SSK, SSK, SSK, K2tog, K2tog, K2tog, K2tog, K2tog, K20. (50 stitches)
Round 15: Knit.

FINISHING:
