Detailed Lesson Plan in MAPEH 9

I. Learning Objectives

At the end of the lesson, 100% of the students shall be able to attain at least 80% level of proficiency to:

a. determine risk factors related to lifestyle diseases;


b. analyze the effects of media and technology on fitness and physical activity and
c. express a sense of purpose and belongingness by participating in physical activity-related
community services and programs

a. Topic: Fitness Activities (ZUMBA)


b. Major Concept: Zumba is a total body workout, combining cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and
flexibility. It also burns up to 1000 calories in just one class or session.

I. Review

Before we proceed to our next lesson, let’s have a review.


We will have a game; this game is what you called
“HOTSPOT THE MESSAGE”. I am going to explain the flow
of the activity so you must listen carefully. I will group
you into 3, and then each group will form a straight line.
The rest of the members will face against the side where
the starting player faced on. The first person at the back
will be the one who will see the unknown phrase/ word
and after that, he/she will pass the word or phrase by
acting out to the next member. The main goal of this
game is to pass the word/phrase to all of the members up
to the last. The big challenge here is to guess the word or
phrase without speaking. The group who will be able to
have or get the most correct answer will be declared as
the winner.

Before we proceed to our next lesson, we will going to


have an activity called “Kwento mo, sound ko”. I will
divide you into 8. Each group will have a corresponding
sound with gestures. While I’m reading the story, you will
execute your sound and gestures whenever you hear

This story is entitled “TRANSFORMATION 2.0”.

Once upon a time, there was a fat lady who always


bullied by the people around her and because of that, her
boyfriend left her. The fat lady got broke at that time. She
always stays in her room to cry, sleep, eat, and eat and
eat again. Until one day, the fat lady realizes that her
body is going bigger and bigger, so she decided to reduce
her weight. The fat lady tried to work out in the gym but
it is so expensive. Sunday evening, she decides to watch a
movie, the title of the movie is 200-pound beauty. While
the fat lady was watching the movie, she has many
realizations that it is not the end of the world. The next
morning, she starts her mission “TRANSFORMATION 2.0”.
The fat lady starts watching dance exercise like Zumba by
browsing YouTube and used a mobile application to
monitor her weight. The fat lady also starts to eat healthy
foods and follow the proper diet routine. Until one day
the fat lady didn’t notice that her body is getting slimmer
and slimmer and slimmer. And then one day after her
struggle, the fat lady found the man of her life who has
the same experience in life. And they live happily, healthy
ever after.

organized by Philippine Information Agency and Youth
Organization Balangay Bayani to recognize civil servants
and raise funds for developmental programs in school.

way and you only have 5 seconds to say the next letter in
the alphabet. The last person that will not able to say the
