FOURTH QUARTER
(Philippine Festivals, Theatrical Forms of the Philippines, Religious and Non-Religious
Festivals, Philippine Folk dance and Non-Communicable Diseases)
CONTENT STANDARDS
MUSIC: The learner demonstrates understanding and application of musical skills related to
selected Philippine Festivals and demonstrates understanding and application of musical skills
related to theatre.
ARTS: The learner how theatrical elements (sound, music, gesture, movement, and
costume) affect the creation and communication of meaning in Philippine Festivals and
Theatrical Forms as influenced by history and culture and theater and performance as a synthesis
of arts and a significant expression of the celebration of life in various Philippine communities.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
MUSIC: The learner performs excerpts/selections from Philippine musical theater and performs
songs and dances from selected Philippine festivals.
ARTS: The learner create appropriate festival attire with accessories based on authentic festival
costumes; create/improvise appropriate sound, music, gesture, movements, and costume for a
chosen theatrical composition and; take part in a chosen festival or in a performance in a
theatrical play.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION: The learners execute/ perform the five fundamental skills in folk
dance and apply them to create a dance: take part in a chosen festival.
HEALTH: The learner consistently demonstrates personal responsibility and healthful practices
in the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases.
ENDURING UNDERSTANDING
MUSIC: The theaters were adapted to dramatic and musical performances. Music plays a major
role in the celebration of festivals. It accompanies the whole activities and connects participates
through singing, instrument playing, dancing, and praying.
ARTS: The Filipinos’ sense of artistry is already ingrained in their history, traditions, and
culture. Their love and passion for the arts are evident in their way of life.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION: Dance is probably one of the oldest forms of art. Folk dance is
considered a traditional dance or ethnic dance f a given country.
HEALTH: Non communicable or lifestyle diseases are health problems and conditions that are
non-infectious and non-transmissible and come as a result of one’s modern lifestyle.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION: How does a performing local and indigenous dance influence your
character and artistry as a Filipino?

MUSIC: The learners are tasked to choose specific song for their festival and participate in their
practices.
ARTS: The learners are tasked to draw or paint mascara which they’re going to use in their
festival.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION: The learners are tasked to execute the five fundamental positions
of Arms and feet.
HEALTH: The learners are tasked to create a Health Pamphlet with content of Non
communicable diseases its prevention, treatment, cause and symptoms.
You are the assistant music event organizer of your municipality. You are tasked to
compose a dance to be performed during Lenten celebration next month. Your dance requires a
creative costume related to your chosen festival. Your work will be assessed by your music event
head following a rubric.
