Starting the engine
Convenience key:
You can switch on the ignition and start/stop the engine
using the STARTENGINESTOPbutton without having
the key inserted in the ignit ion lock.
Switching the ignition on and off:
Insert the key into the ignition lock.
Manual transmission: Do not depress the clutch.
Press on the key.
Automatic transmission: Do not depress the brake pedal.
Press on the key.
The key can only be removed when the ignition is switched
off.
Starting the engine:
Insert the key into the ignition lock.
Manual transmission: Depress the
clutch and engage Neutral.
Automatic transmission: Depress the
brake pedal and move the selector lever into P or N.
Briefly press on the key.
Stopping the engine when the vehicle is standing:
