PERSONAL REFLECTION
PERSONAL REFLECTION
We started the year with a flurry of events, retreats, hang outs and prayer times, all in an effort to reach anyone and everyone on campus.
We met SO many students in those first few weeks! One thing that really struck me during that time was just how hungry young people are
for truth. I can't tell you the amount of times I saw students eyes light up with longing as we told them who we are and Who we follow.
We also strongly felt a call to be heralds, not only to herald Christ who came to save us, but Christ who dwells IN the other. We felt called
to approach these men and women with reverence and awe as God's daughters and sons, and to speak words to them that bring forth
Christ.
At the end of each semester our staff team gathers to pray in thanksgiving for the Lord's work in the lives of the students we live
alongside, and we also evaluate what has been successful and what we can improve on. We all feel so strongly that the Lord has built a
family here, and more than that, through His presence, he has healed and restored their vision of what that means. Men and women are
experiencing real brotherhood and sisterhood perhaps for the first time in a long time, and it's changing their lives.
We cannot wait to witness how the Lord continues to transform lives this semester, and I can't wait to tell you!
Thank you for your support, we couldn't do this without you!
fan into flame
Each year we run a retreat for our students
in the Fall. It is a weekend focused on who
Jesus is, the life he calls us to and an
invitation for us to accept Him as our Lord.
This year our retreat took place in early
November. We had around 70 students join
us, each of whom encountered the Lord in a
particular and unique way. On Saturday
night we prayed over one another in groups,
and the Holy Spirit moved in power! The
next day and for the weeks after, there were
so many testimonies from students of how
the Lord changed them. A significant way
the Lord worked was to give the students a
completely new perspective on their lives,
and increase their desire to spend time with
Him. It's been amazing to see the students
continue to grow in their relationship with
Him since the retreat. Thank you for your
prayers! We really felt carried by them, and
the Lord certainly heard them and worked
powerfully!
