Introduction 5 min Greetings.


Students are introduced the aim of the class and
the fact that today we are going to learn how to
express opinions using “On the one hand… on the
other hand”.
Core of the class
Pre-stage 5 min Students are introduce how we can give opinions
in English using: On the one hand… on the other
hand

While-stage 10 min A piece of writing is given to them with sentences


expressing opinions using “On the one hand… on
the other hand”.
Students have to point out if they agree or not
Students give it back
15 min A picture representing “facebook” web page and
MSN is shown to them and scotched to the
whiteboard
Students are asked to give advantages and
drawbacks of both

Post-Stage 5 min Taking those drawbacks and advantages, students


have to express their opinions using “on the one
hand ……….. and on the other hand”

Closing 5 min A conclusion is made regarding the use “on the


one hand ……….. and on the other hand”
