All love is expansion

The beautiful quotation given by the famous Swami Vivekananda in which he is trying to
reach the world with his thoughts that convey the importance of spreading love and care
and how it can help you grow as an individual. While being selfish and self-centered will
block your mind and in turn prevents and individual from uncovering the beautiful
secrets hidden in the universe.
Love is a complex set of emotions, behavior and beliefs associated with strong feelings
of affection, protectiveness, warmth and respect for another individual, while love will be
explained differently by different people, it can be generally summarized into a
willingness to prioritize another’s wellbeing or happiness above your own and an
extreme feeling of attachment, affection and need.

The counterpart of love is being selfish- A person who lacks any concern for the values
of others or who does not respect for others perspective or wishes , a person who do
not value other people and does not value fairness.

It has been observed by the psychologists that a person who is strong and high on
empathy has the heart which is inclined towards purity while the person who lacks a
strong will power is generally the one who lacks empathy and the ability to look beyond
his/her own needs and a wider perspective or a bigger picture are the ones who often
end up being alone and find it difficult to sleep peacefully.

An individual who has a kind heart and often look for spreading happiness and love has
the power to transform any dull person to a brighter one, a kind hearted person can
literally brighten up others, love not only helps to grow but will also be a booster to help
people around you grow, being self-centered will only provide you with the temporary
happiness just like what sugar do to your body- the intake of sugar boost your
adrenaline for the short run and make your cells feel like they are surging with power
but actually in the longer run the extra insulin in your bloodstream affects your arteries
plus your body’s circulatory system.

Swami Vivekananda stated that love is the only law of life and selfishness is dying by
this he meant that the one who loves and care for the beings of the universe are the
ones who are actually living and doing something productive with a healthy aim,
because a life without purpose, without empathy towards others is a life living in waste.
Loving others even the animals and being kind to them will open a path for you that will
lead you to knowing everything about the world and will make you curious, on the
contrary being selfish will lead you nowhere but towards yourself in a greedy manner,
you won’t be satisfied with what you have and will want what others have and
furthermore when you achieve what others have your wants won’t be satisfied it’s like
law of diminishing marginal utility.
Love is the feeling that penetrates your brain with power to expand your own horizon
and look towards caring and help others over your personal gains which helps you in
achieving all the reassures of the world with the truths about the world, on the other
hand being self-centered will only lead you towards your grave alone with your own
pictures and belongings that will be left behind with your remains and will not be fruitful
to you in your afterlife.

The sole purpose in life is to have a meaning; love fills a life with zeal to live more just to
experience the beautiful things that awaits you. Love is the beginning of a life and is
eternal. Selfishness puts an end to hope and therefore the leaves you nowhere. It has
no future as it ends with negativity and even if a person lives, selfishness makes their
life futile.

Once an American poet E. E. Cummings said that “love is the voice under all silences,
the hope which has no opposite in fear. The strength so strong that mere force is
feebleness : the truth more first than Sun and more last than Star”, the statement means
that living is a part if love and love is the strongest force which brings out the best in a
person and is eternal.

Hence love is expansion as it has the power to gift life, it is the foundation and of
creation and expansion of being, so we can say love is yang of life, the yang part is
selfishness –it is contraction because it sees no life, it ends the happiness and ruin the
hopes thus making even a living life a terrible death.
