Importance of Technology on Education

Technology that is made use of in the classroom is very beneficial in helping the
students understand and absorb what they are being taught. For instance, since
there are a number of students who are visual learners, projection screens
connected to computers could be put in classrooms to let the students see their
notes as opposed to simply sitting down and listening to the instructor teach.
The programs make available to students quizzes, tests, activities and study
questions that could help the students continue with the learning process when
they are out of the classroom. Students make use of computers to come up with
presentations and also make use of the internet to carry out research on a variety
of topics for their essays and papers. Students also get to know how to use the
technology available in the world today through the tech and computer classes.
This gives the guarantee that following their graduation, the students will not
have any difficulties with using technology when they are out there in the work
place, which might serve to make them more competitive compared to an
individual who has no access to a certain software or technology in school. With
the continuing advances in the technological world, students are getting
improved access to such educational opportunities. Every time something
‘better’ and ‘new’ is brought into the market, the price of the existing
technology is decreased which makes it much more accessible in the
educational setting even to those schools that might not have a lot of financial
resources available to them.

Knowlegde from personal experience VS Knowledge from classroom
Since humans started to discover secrets of globe, they tried to share their idea
and learn things that they did not know from each other. So, when the
knowledge became more and more extensive which nobody could not be able to
an expert in all fields, educational institutions were established. In similar vein,
some people believed that self-studying and self-learning is more efficient way
to be elaborate in a field and people should learn things though their own
experience. Thus, both learning in class and learning through experience have
their own advantages and disadvantages. In following, I will discuss about their
benefits and weaknesses, then, I will talk about my own perspective.
About knowledge gained form experience, we know that it is very hard to
achieve and needs perseverance, hard working and it results gradually. In this
kind of learning, learner fails many times. Because there is no clear instructions,
the results may related to chance. This process is a sort of examine and failure
which person fix the problems step by step. This type of gaining knowledge was
very common in past when scientists unable to access appropriate resources of
contribution. For example, Thomas Edison tried and failed more than one
thousand times when he was inventing lamp. Or another instance was Marie
Curie that was succeed to extract Radium from raw materials but it took several
years to became successful. In general, knowledge that comes from experience
is very risky with a high rate of failure. Most of the people that gained
knowledge from such experiences are now become known as pioneers of that
field.
In contrast, knowledge which gains from classrooms is easier to reach. Students
are taught by a trained tutor whose is aware about most of skills. In this kind of
learning, students use books as references of gaining knowledge. The only thing
that students should study these references thoroughly and try to memorize
methods which discovered by self-studied and self-learned scientists. In this
type of learning, students stands on the shoulders of pioneers of the pioneer
scientists. It is more theoretically rather than practical so that most of students
are knowledgeable but unable to apply that knowledge.

Advantages of school extra activities
1. Improved Academic Performance

Some students worry that participating in extracurriculars may take away too much time
from their schoolwork, thus hurting their grades; however, extracurricular activities can
actually improve your grades and your outlook on school in general!

Participating in activities you are passionate about can increase your brain function, help
you concentrate and manage your time better, all of which contribute to higher grades.
High endurance sports, for example, will train you to focus and build stamina in the face
of intense difficulty. This gives you an advantage when it comes to studying and taking
exams.

Lots of studies have been conducted on the relationship between extracurricular

activities and academic performance, and they all show that students who
participate in them have higher grades, more positive attitudes toward school
and higher academic aspirations.
2. Higher Self-esteem

The more you achieve success through activities you’re passionate about, the more
your self confidence will improve.

For example, let’s say you’re really good at maths and your teacher encourages you to
get involved in competitions. You join the school team and start training for the
national Maths Olympiad. During the process you realise how fun maths can be and
how talented you actually are, which gives your confidence a massive boost.

Working hard and mastering new skills in a fun, relaxed – and sometimes competitive
– setting allows you to be successful without the pressure of getting a good grade.

Plus, once your confidence improves, you’ll be more open to taking risks in all
aspects of your life, not just in Maths Olympiads.
3. University Applications

It’s pretty much impossible to get into any university in the US or UK without
extracurricular activities. Universities in the US & UK want to see that you’ve gone
above and beyond in your intended area of study and have made a difference and/or
excelled your field.

Topic: Some people think that the detailed criminal description on newspaper and
TV has bad influences, so this kind of information should be restricted on the
media. To what extend do you agree or disagree?
Day by day, we can easily approaching a great of information related crime and
violence. Some individuals have the negative feelings by detailed inhumane
description on newspaper and media and they thin this kind of information should be
limited. In my opinion, I totally have the same thinking and support restricting
detailed description about murderers on social media.
There are two important reasons why violence and bloody news should be limited.
Firstly, there will be bad influences on readers and watchers, especially teenagers.
Approaching with inhumane news will scare children and image of murderers will
become unshakable obsession with them. To the Time News in Japan, there are annual
average 10% of children being depression due to violent obsession on TV. Secondly,
in the long run, youngsters will have no belief on life and society and be afraid of
creating new relationship and communicating with people around them.
In addition, following too much information related criminal description lead to
insensitivity phenomena in society in these days. When images of killing human
appear frequently, people gradually consider it as normal behavior and have negative
thinking about life. They accept savage activities and are easily entangled in crime.
Therefore, instead of providing detailed inhumane information with the high
frequency on media, people should limit this kind of details and just show criminal
news with extenuating circumstance for the purpose of enhancing awareness.
In concluding, savage information on TV and newspaper not only bring no benefits
for people but also create obsession and negative thinking for them. Thus, it is
necessary to restrict violence and bloody on media.

Clothes tell a lot about a person

At all times clothes was considered to be the mirror of human soul reflecting
peculiarities of each personality. Usually people wear clothes which are in accordance
with their own tastes, habits and occupation. Due to many factors that are taken into
account while choosing what to put on, we are able to understand one’s social or
financial status and psychological inclinations.
First of all, style of clothing can tell us a lot about person’s profession and sphere of
activity he or she is engaged in. To illustrate, public officials are obliged to wear suits,
blouses and other strict clothes which complies with the demands of so-called dress
code. Moreover, this commitment meets ethic requirements which are common in
civilized societies. Taking all aforementioned into account, we can infer that those
people who mostly wear formal clothes are likely to be the representatives of public
sector.
Moreover, style of clothes reflects person’s mood at the very moment, his or her
possible psychological problems and state of soul. A sort of example that aptly comes
to mind has to do with religious traditions. According to some Christian customs those
people who lose their kin are committed to wear dark, mostly black, clothing in order
to express their sadness. In some religious currents it is white wear that serves as
ritual one. What is more, bright colors in one’s everyday clothes might demonstrate
his or her hilarious frame of mind.
All things considered, clothes are regarded to be particular shell which expresses inner
state as well as type of occupation. Taking these facts into consideration can be
helpful while interacting with people we are not familiar with. Also by means of
wearing we can send some message or make necessary connotation in order to get
regrets or maintenance.

Competitive VS Cooperate
There are various views of people on upbringing their children. Talking about
competition, some say that it must be inculcated in children while some argue
cooperation plays a better role. In this essay, both these contrasting views will be
discussed and a conclusion will be made.

Those who believe that competition is necessary to present the following arguments.
Firstly, competition motivates the children and encourages them to do better
rewarding the one who stands at the top. Secondly, healthy competition maintains
excitement and zeal in learning. Otherwise, children may find the session too boring.
Thirdly, these are places where competition is of utmost necessity. For example, in
sports, it is always necessary to come to a conclusion of who wins and who loses.
According to the opinions given by this group of people, positive competition among
children is more beneficial.

On the other hand, some highlight the negative impacts that competition might bring
and so choose to inculcate cooperation in their kids. According to them, when kids
compete, they might use alternative ways for winning like cheating. Sometimes, they
might be highly de-motivated if they are constantly losing despite persistent efforts. In
contrast, by working or learning cooperatively in groups, children learn attributes as
respect, exchange of help, tolerance etc. They also opine that the lessons learned in
childhood lasts for the entire life and the children who always compete would do so
for the rest of their lives and this would include both the positive and negative
competitions.

Thus, in accordance with my view, both cooperation and competition are essential for
children in their own place. The guardians have to choose one appropriately according
to the situation and context in order to ensure their kids learn correct moral values and
ethics.

An important skill
Upon the question that what is the very important skill a person should learn in the
world today, different people have differnt opinions. In my point of view, I perfer to
think that communication is the most impotant skill for almost every person.
Firstly, communication is a bridge between people. Nobody is omnipotent; people
depend on one another in their daily lives. We all hope we can be become the person
who masters every skills and can complete every kind work by ourselves. However
the real world tells us that this just is a dream. Therefore, people are interdependant,
no can can say that he does not need other people's help. The society requires
cooperation among people. Communication is the link. Communication is the first
step of successful cooperation among people. By communication, we exchange of
thoughts and information, and get other people understand our needs and ideas. For
example, in a company, big or small, a manager always has to communicate with his
boss, coleagues and subordinates.
Secondly, communication can help us keep friendship and make new friends. Friends
need to communicate to each other, so that they know each other's needs and feelings.
Indeed, the most important qualities of a friend is communication and understanding.
If you are a good communicator, it is very easy for you to keep your friendship and
make new friends. If you do not communicate with your friends, you will not only
feel lonely, but also can eventually loss your friends.
From all above, I think that communacation is the most important skill for people to
survive in this society. I hope everybody works hard to get the skill.

” We should not judge people by their appearances”
Some people judge a person only by his or her external appearances. I disagree with
their attitude.I think that one should never judge a person by external appearances.
Judging a person by his or her external appearances may mislead your understanding
him or her.A person who has a pretty face and wears beautiful clothes may not have
same kind of heart inside. On the other hand, the internal characters of a person can
not be judged by his or her external appearances.
If you judge a person only by his or her external appearances, you may lose chances
to make good friends. Everyone has his own habits to choose clothes, hair style and
the way to live. Maybe both of you have interests and hobbies in common. You can
not know this point because your wrong judgment from his different ways to deal
with something prevents you from knowing his interest and keeps you too far from
him to make good friends. Judging a person by external appearances is unfair and
one-sided. To evaluate a person fairly, you have to know his family, his situation and
him entirely and clearly. A person who is from poor family may be intelligent and
diligent. The one who can afford expensive clothes may be indifferent with others.
So I think that judging a person by his or her external appearances always leads us to
draw a wrong conclusion about a person. It is limiting and unfair. Everyone longs for
the understanding from others. So we should give others chances to show all of their
characters and at the same time we should evaluate them fairly and objectively.

Private car use
The wheel is considered by many as the greatest invention in human history and the
motor vehicles that we use these days is the main reason we live in the industrial age.
The ease of transportation and freedom to move goods from one place to another is
the main driving factor for a modern era. Yet, the use of private vehicles endangers the
environment to a great extent and leads to many serious problems including sound and
air pollution, accident, congestions on roads and many more. There are many steps we
can take to reduce the number of private motor vehicles running on roads to ensure
the safety of the environment and to make the world livable for the upcoming
generations.
First of all, improving the public transportation system would encourage people to use
those instead of relying on their private cars. People mostly buy private cars to have a
comfortable commuting experience though maintaining private cars is far more
expensive. If the public transportation facility is improved, many people would reduce
using their private vehicles. Secondly, increasing the price of fuel could be another
great measure to discourage people from using and buying private cars. It is natural
that enhanced fuel price would increase the cost of maintaining private cars and thus
more people would think twice before purchasing a new car. In addition, more taxes
should be imposed on private car ownership.

Thirdly, traffic rules should be more strictly imposed and practised so that people
can’t use private cars if there are less than 3 passengers in the car. This rule is applied
in many cities and thus they have successfully reduced the number of private cars
running on their roads. For goods transportation, water and railway should be used.
Usually, water and rail transports can carry a great more amount of products than the
road vehicles and that should be strictly followed. Then, individual awareness is
required to reduce the use of private cars. People tend to use their cars even for a
small distance. Walking and cycling should be promoted so that people rely on their
cars less and thus pollute the environment less. Finally, the ownership of cars should
be restricted based on the number of family members, the number of vehicles a single
family can purchase and based on their gross incomes.

In conclusion, the private motor vehicles have great advantages but they severely
pollute the environment. Hence their usages should be reduced by promoting public
transportations, making laws strict, increasing fuel price and by creating awareness
among mass people.
