The Book Of John John 14:8-11

for educators
Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I
been with you so long, and you still do not know Me, Philip? Whoever has seen Me has seen the
Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the
Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father
Who dwells in Me does His works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me, or
else believe on account of the works themselves.”
There’s a Word for that! Obey

Belief and obedience are the key to eternal life. One without the other leads to death. Let us
confess our belief for the Son of God, Jesus and obey His gracious commands.

John 3:36 – Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not

see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We believe. We believe, Lord, that You are the
Son of God. We are in awe of Your sacrifice to
give us eternal life with You. We desire to be
obedient because Your love covers all sin.
Thank You for removing our sin as far as east is
Y

from the west. Lord, stir those who do not

believe yet, or those who are not obedient for
there is no future for them. We don’t think
A

about Your wrath enough, but we do know

that in order for sin to be removed there must
be a wrath. Lord, help us to believe and obey.
We ask in the holy name of Jesus. Amen.
