Pakistan’s Soft image abroad

by Abid Hussain

The country is like a mother and should be treated like a mother. If someone harms your country and
dismantling its image abroad, will you be showering flowers or should curse on them? Offcourse if
he/she do then maybe declared traitors of states not a patriotic. Russian President Putin articulated in
his statement that Pakistan is just like a graveyard for those who earn abroad, live abroad, and stay
abroad but when he/she died then he/she may be buried as per advised that the land is best-fit for Islam
and Muslims. When he/she lives they care its people neither trying to uplift its image abroad. What this
nonsense is happening with many Pakistani, the traitors, the so-called patriotic. Even our media do not
play its due role to raise its image abroad.

I will draw your attention towards google search, just write down Pakistan and you will see only
poverty, chaos and terrorism and security persons with weapons shows the world that we are the worst
in the world contrary to search the name Germany you will see peace, natural beauty, prosperity and
developed nations of the world. This is just an example being quoted. Those who work abroad, some of
them are those who in his/her every breath remembering this country and praying for its prosperity,
success, profitability, welfare and well-being. Even Pakistan economy is relying upon remittances of
these hard-worker and real patriots. They share their wealth and contributing their due role. There are
two types of peoples in Pakistan. The Elite/politician and the labour class. The difference between
them, the labour generating the wealth for this nation and Elite/politician export the wealth in banks
abroad. The richer are becoming richer and the poorer becoming poorer.

One of my friends visited Singapur recently and was travelling in the sea, an old lady came with his son
and he stood off in her respect. She prayed a lot and ask the man where are you from. In reply, he said I
am Pakistani. She screamed away and said to please stop the ship we have a terrorist among us. I was
ashamed that what a bad image Pakistan have in abroad. I hope many other Pakistani will have the
same kind of stories.

Now how to represent Pakistan as one of the well-being and welfare states in the world. We should
play a due role. We have good brain-drain people abroad. Even in NASA (USA), we have many
Pakistani working theirs on space technology. Radeeyah Aamir, a 12-year-old Pakistani student, has
been selected for a one-week internship programme at the National Aeronautics and Space
Administration (NASA) recently. We have noble laureates like Abdus Salam, Malala Yousafzai. As per
report of 2013, 2.7 Millions left the country for a better job in abroad. My question is whether these
people are doing their best in their respective fields or they just working as earning machines for their
family.

Although, since 9/11 we faced a difficult situation, we been declared as a state of chaos. Our military
men and public sacrificed and still doing the best job to make Pakistan as a safe haven. The image of
good Taliban and bad Taliban declared us a state of terrorism. But, still, we have time to build the
image of Pakistan abroad. What we should do. People in every field have good talents available. Show
the world that we are courageous, loving, peaceful and with 70% young slot. Who can do the best part
with enthusiasm, dedication and devotion? We are the world 26th largest economy, we are the world’s
seventh largest force. Fourth smartest people in the world, top national anthem tune of the world,
miraculous breathtaking beauty, the second largest salt mine, the world’s largest ambulance network,
exceptional infrastructure, the world largest man-made forests, Asia’s largest bird sanctuary and the
place where time stops. The mind blowings natural scenery at Northern areas of Pakistan. The largest
canal system in the world. The highest paved international road – The Karakoram Highway (KKH).
Islamabad, Pakistan is ranked the second most beautiful capital in the world. Pakistan boasts the
world’s highest ATM (automated teller machine). Gawader (Coastal line of Balochistan) is known to
be the largest deep sea port in the world , the youngest civil judge in the world.

Pakistanis are the fourth-most intelligent people in the world as per the report of the Institute of
European Business Administration in a survey conducted in 125 countries. Showing these soft images
of my beautiful country -Pakistan, I assure you that the next pivot of the world will be Pakistan for its
soft images.
