The 4 absolutes of managing a revival church

1. Christian – Conformance to requirements

2. System – Prevention
3. Performance standard – Zero defects
4. Measurement – Price of nonconformance

Christian – Conformance to requirements

Terms such as Good, excellent, beautiful, and exclusive – are subjective and vague.
When we are defined as “Conformance to requirements” subjectivity disappears. If
requirements are not met, nonconformance results.
Requirements for being a Christian are
1. Output
2. Input
3. Process
The opposite to conformance to requirements is rebellion.

System – Prevention
The system for becoming a Christian is not appraisal, it’s prevention.
Prevention occurs in the design of a process. It involves communicating,
planning, proofing, and working up front to eliminate opportunities for sin or
failure.

Performance standard – Zero defects

The performance standard must be zero defects , not “That’s good enough” or I’m
better than a lot of them. Zero defects performance standard means I will be
satisfied only when I meet all the requirements each and every time.

Measurement – Price of nonconformance

Demonstration or expression is not the measurement of becoming a Christian; it is
the price of nonconformance. Demonstration or expression has a way of softening the
bad news or hiding the problem for that we will never take action.

It is by out actions that we set the standards others will follow.

Matthew 8:27 But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that
even the winds and the sea obey him.

Mark 1:27 And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among
themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with
authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.

Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to
obey God rather than men.

2 Timothy 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from
such turn away.

1 Timothy 6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish
and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after,
they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many
sorrows.

1 Corinthians10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man:
but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will
with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear It.

Performance Standard – Zero Defects

Revelation3:2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are
ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.

1 Peter 5: 10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory
by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish,
strengthen, settle you.

James 2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith
made perfect?

Measurement – Price of Nonconformance

Mark 9:42 And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me,
it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast
into the sea.
43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life
maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be
quenched:
44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life,
than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be
quenched:
46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the
kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:

Luke 12: 5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he
hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him
