Narrative Change
Racial narrative change is the intentional transformation of
stories to more fully and accurately represent the world. Our
current narratives fail to tell all of our stories. These incomplete
stories impact how we see the world and interact with one
another. The Foundation invests in organizations deeply engaged
in this work.

INVEST IN COMMUNITY-LED SOLUTIONS

Community Affiliates
The Foundation supports 17 local, volunteer-led foundations
through the Community Affiliates program. Every year, these
affiliate foundations grant thousands of dollars into local
communities. Community members drive the grantmaking
process of each affiliate and community fundraising and
outreach efforts helps build permanent funds to invest in their
region for years to come.

East Metro Pulse

East Metro Pulse is a perception survey that measures
community vitality and quality of life in Dakota, Ramsey and
Washington counties. East Metro Pulse provides valuable data on
the health and vitality of the East Metro and ensures that
grantseekers, community leaders, policymakers and others have
access to comprehensive and meaningful data about the region.
The results of East Metro Pulse help the Foundation better
understand community strengths and opportunities for growth.
