218.2010 Reimer: That the minutes of the July 5, 2010 regular meeting be adopted.

220.2010 Corbett: That the payroll for July in the amount of $42,321.96 be accepted.

June Bank Reconciliation and Financial Statement

221.2010 Helmuth: That Council accept the June bank reconciliation and financial
statement as presented.

222.2010 Corbett: That the July accounts, cheque numbers 10775 to 10867, in the amount
of $209,534.20 be approved.

as presented.

225.2010 Greve: That the following portion of the 2010 taxes be cancelled for the
following properties in accordance with the Town’s business tax policy:

HMCS Rosthern – Robert Conlon

226.2010 Corbett: That the Town acknowledge Bob Conlon for building a model ship by
presenting him with a Station Arts Tea Room gift certificate and a bouquet of
flowers.
CARRIED.

HMCS Rosthern – Ship Case

227.2010 Greve: That Mayor Knoll investigate the mounting and displaying of the HMCS
model ship.
CARRIED.

Arena Brine Pump

228.2010 Helmuth: That Colin Aebig be authorized to purchase a new brine pump for the
arena at a cost of approximately $6,000.00.

230.2010 Corbett: That the next regular Council meeting be moved to Tuesday, September
7 due to the statutory holiday on September 6.

231.2010 Corbett: That the following committee reports be accepted as presented:
a) Town & Country Fair Board – July 8 and 16
b) Sustainable Communities (Dr. Greve verbal)

Growing Saskatchewan 2010

232.2010 Reimer: That Don Greve be authorized to attend the “Growing Saskatchewan
2010” conference being held in Saskatoon on October 26-27, 2010, with
associated expenses being paid by the municipality.

Fall ’10 Waste Forum

233.2010 Corbett: That Doug Knoll and Don Reimer be authorized to attend the Fall ’10
Waste Minimization Forum being held on September 30 and October 1 in
Humboldt, with associated expenses being paid by the municipality.

Monica Barteski Correspondence

234.2010 Helmuth: That the administrator correspond to Monica Barteski, relaying the
information Sgt. Flemming gave Council in regards to her concerns with crime.

236.2010 Helmuth: That the Town donate $50 to the Rosthern Seniors’ golf tournament.

SMB - Mediation
237.2010 Greve: That the Town engage in a mediation process to resolve issues between
the Town and RM of Rosthern.
CARRIED.

Rosthern Employment Project Request for Rental

238.2010 Helmuth: That the administrator correspond to Vera Gauthier of the Rosthern
Employment Project indicating that there is no available space for rent in the
library building.
CARRIED.

Dean Martin Fence Request

239.2010 Corbett: That Dean Martin’s request to build a seven-foot fence in his backyard
located at 921 5th Avenue to compensate for a difference in elevation between
properties be approved.
CARRIED.

Barry Moorman Broken Window

240.2010 Greve: That the Town pay to fix Barry Moorman’s side truck window which was
broken due to rocks flying from the Town’s mower when grass was being cut.

Access Communications Community Calendar

241.2010 Helmuth: That the Town support the promotion of Access Communications’
community channel which will be launched within the next few months.
