313.2010 Greve: That the agenda for the November 1, 2010 meeting be accepted as
amended.

Minutes
314.2010 Corbett: That the minutes of the October 18, 2010 regular meeting be adopted.
CARRIED.

Upstairs Post Office

315.2010 Greve: That Bryan Kingston be hired to renovate the last room located upstairs in
the post office building so it can be used by another healthcare professional.
CARRIED.

Administration Reports
316.2010 Corbett: That the following administration reports be accepted as presented:

b) Outside Superintendent’s Report
c) Recreation Facilities Report

Library Roof
317.2010 Helmuth: That the Town hire Thermo Plus to replace the library roof next spring
at a cost of approximately $10,000.

Thank-you to Library Board

318.2010 Reimer: That the Town send a thank-you card to the Library Board,
acknowledging them for their fundraising efforts to have the library roof
replaced.

319.2010 Isfeld: That the following committee reports be accepted as presented:

Wheat Kings Hockey Club Sponsorship

320.2010 Greve: That the Town purchase a silver sponsorship in the amount of $200 for the
Rosthern Wheat Kings Hockey Club’s 2010/11 season.
CARRIED.

Royal Canadian Legion Sponsorship

321.2010 Reimer: That the Town purchase a business-card-size ad for $195 for the Royal
Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command.
CARRIED.

322.2010 Helmuth: That the Town pay the 2011/12 membership fee to the Federation of
Canadian Municipalities in the amount of $356.00.
CARRIED.

Valley Action Abilities – Letter Regarding Plastic

323.2010 Helmuth: That the Town correspond to the Valley Action Abilities board,
conveying displeasure with plastic from other jurisdictions going in the Town of
Rosthern landfill.
CARRIED.

Citizen of the Year

324.2010 Reimer: That the 2010 Citizen of the Year presentation be held on December 9 at
the Station Arts Centre in conjunction with the RES Christmas singing concert.

Tax Exemption - Epp

325.2010 Greve: That as per the Town’s residential tax incentive program, the Town assess
the property located at 2008 Saskatchewan Street (Lot 7, Block C, Plan
92PA21713) on the old taxable assessment of 60,200 for a three-year period
starting in 2010. Furthermore, since 2010 taxes have been levied, that taxes in the
amount of $1,415.05 (municipal $820.23, school $594.82) be cancelled and
credited to the tax account.
