DECLARACIÓN DE PERDÓN (Basada en Romanos 1: 1-7)

Pastor/a: ¡Escuchen las buenas noticias! Esas buenas noticias nos dicen que el hijo
de Dios, Jesucristo, vino al mundo como descendiente del rey David. Jesucristo
murió, pero Dios lo resucitó, y con eso demostró que Jesucristo es el poderoso Hijo
de Dios. Como Hijo de Dios, Jesús nos da salvación y perdona todos nuestros
pecados. ¡Escuchen las buenas noticias! En Jesucristo recibimos perdón.
ENCENDIDO DE LA VELA DE ADVIENTO (Estas letanías de la corona de adviento
están basadas en las lecturas de Isaías. La luz de las velas nos hacen el llamado a
recordar la esperanza de antaño y nuestra esperanza de que el reino de Dios siga
llegando a su plenitud aquí y ahora).

Líder: Escuchen ahora ustedes… todos los pueblos, todas las naciones. Buscan a Dios
por todas partes, cuando está aquí entre ustedes.

Pueblo: ¡El Señor mismo nos da una señal!

Líder: La joven concebirá y dará a luz un hijo, y lo llamará Emanuel.

Pueblo: Dios con nosotros. Dios con nosotras.

Líder: No nos tenemos que preocupar, porque Dios ha estado, está y estará con su
pueblo.

unísono) La luz nos recuerda que Emanuel vive con su pueblo. La señal está en
que la humanidad todavía ama, todavía perdona, todavía busca la paz, todavía

Nuestro buen Padre Dios, en este tiempo de esperanzas, tiempo de promesas a

cumplirse en el nacimiento del Niño de Belén, que es una buena noticia como
dijeron los ángeles a los pastores, ¡PORQUE HA NACIDO UN SALVADOR!

ORAMOS para que sea un tiempo de celebrar la luz que vino al mundo para sacar de
la oscuridad a los que allí viven y encaminar nuestros pasos por el camino de la PAZ.

ORAMOS para que sea un tiempo de alegría para todos, un tiempo de esperanzas,
especialmente para mis hermanos más pequeños, como los pastores de aquella
primera Navidad.

Jesús para adorarlo.

ALL: God, you are both tender and mighty—
a shepherd we can trust.
You call to us and gather us.
You feed us and bid us rest in your care.
Still we fear the world around us
and fail to seek your help when we are lost.
Still we struggle stupidly against you—
refusing your comfort and ignoring your commands.
Renew us and restore us, Lord of hosts.
Show us the light of your face,
that we may be saved.

PERSONAL PRAYER OF CONFESSION

DECLARATION OF FORGIVENESS (Based on Romans 1: 1-7)

Pastor: Listen to the good news of the gospel! The gospel he promised beforehand
through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures regarding his Son, who as to his earthly
life was a descendant of David, and who through the Spirit of holiness was
appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ
our Lord. Jesus Christ, as Son of God, gives us salvation and forgives all of our sins.
Listen to the good news of the gospel! In Jesus Christ we are forgiven.

LIGHTING OF THE ADVENT CANDLES (These litanies of the Advent wreath are
based on readings from Isaiah. Lighting the candles calls us to remember the hope of
the past and our present hope that the kingdom of God continues to reach its fullness
here and now).

Leader: Hear now, all peoples, all nations. You look for God everywhere, when God is
here, among you.

People: The Lord himself gave us a sign!

Leader: The virgin will give birth to a son, and will call him Emmanuel.

People: God with us. With us.

Leader: We do not have to worry, because God was, is and will be with God’s people.

light reminds us that Emmanuel lives with his people. The sign is that humanity
still loves, still forgives, still seeks peace, still walks in solidarity. The sign is in

Our good Father God, in this time of hope, time of promises to be fulfilled in the birth
of the Child of Bethlehem, which is good news as the angels told the shepherds, A
SAVIOR IS BORN!
WE PRAY for this to be a time to celebrate the light that came into the world to get
those who live in the darkness out of it, and to guide our steps along the path of
peace.

WE PRAY for a time of joy for all, a time of hope, especially for the little ones of my
brethren, so that they can experience it as the shepherds did that first Christmas.

WE PRAY that this is a time when those who have the power to give expensive gifts,
as the magi of the East, can kneel before Jesus to worship him.

May our hope in this Advent season spread to others and fill them with joy! Amen
