INITIAL IDEA
Design an instant electric water geyser capable of heating water on-demand. Provide all desired
user control and display status.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
You are to design an instant electric water geyser with following specifications:
• AC input supply.
• Maximum power rating: 3000W.
• Can use instant heating on-demand, as well as tank heating.
• Max flowrate: 8lpm (liter per minute).
• Variable power levels with a step of 200W.
• Regulate the temperature of water up to 55℃.
• Provide a display (LCD, OLED etc.) and buttons for mode selection.
• The system should be enclosed in box neatly. Try to keep the body water resistant to
avoid circuit damage from water or steam.
User Interface:
• Allow user to select required temperature.
• If using tank system, display acquired temperature and light an LED when temperature
is achieved.
• Allow user to set timer.
• Display current temperature, power and time remaining.
• Allow user to check the total amount of units consumed in a specific period.
Note:
• No bread board or Vero board is allowed, just PCBs.
• Jumper wires are not allowed.
• Your system will have to perform for at least 1 hour continuously on load.
• A group of 4 students is allowed.
• Meeting will be called almost every week to check the progress.
